    Jobs

I am at my local bike shop at the mo, only part time mind, and I dont get payed, but they sometimes give me stuff (like a buff today cos it was cold out (Y) ) I managed to work 3 days as a tool maker for a big wire company, the work was alright, but I couldnt cope with the hours (7.45 am - 4.30pm) I also only managed one day at a place that make mechanical bulls, it was too far to travel without a car for me. having good pay doesnt mean shit if you dont enjoy your job, the two places above were like £9 an hour, but I didnt enjoy them so thers no point doing it, I REALLY dont see the point of being unhappy, life is too short. I am working for free at my current place, but I enjoy it there, so I am happy.

    Echo Urban Fork

change tha bar and/or stem for somthing higher, would go over what you would pay for the urbans, but will have a better effect than longer forks
  8. v brakes are really good, more powerful than maggies, better feeling, pads last longer (cos they dont wobble)
  9. if it is over I am sooooooo glad I rode at this years show, it had always been a dream of mine and I would have hated to have missed out. I really hope it isnt over, the bike show was the highlight of the year, ever since I first got into riding the bikeshow had a sort of mystical feeling, it was ace.

    First Cars

I have a Daihatsu Hijet Its just like those little bedford vans that look like a loaf of bread, except with 7 seats. Its only 1000cc and wont win any speed or handling tests (infact the fall over if you go too fast lol) but its practical and fuel efficient. Shame the head gasket went in mine after 6 days and ruined the engin (Y) I REALLY want a volvo now, I got converted after getting 5 people and 5 bikes into one (Y)
  11. lookin' good what width rim are you using with the vee? I am wanting to plonk on on my bike but am concirned about clearnece.
  12. get yourself an american classic disk140 They are super light, good bearings and seals (better than hope) and are just plain good!!

    Frame Help

another vote for the justice.........maybe I can persuade Mart to make a slightly longer one next year, but I really wanna try out the current length first as I think my 1080 control is too big for me.
  15. no, thats not it... riding switch is riding bad foot forward.
  16. dont wanna stop any sales but all the pythons I have rode have been awfull!! Soo bad I actually consider them the worst riding bikes in existance! Cant really comment on a zip, but onza boy mark said he reckens they ride nicer than pythons, so with them having different geo leads me to believe him.
  17. koxx frame!!!!!!!! This is my own doing, just because a few months after putting this pic on the new koxx came out with a proto that looked the same, doesnt mean I copied them. oh, and I think you were close about the spec, the rear mech is a dura ace, the stem is a monty and the bar is an echo.
  18. I can see your point and agree to a point but I think front hops are a great thing to learn.....They really test your balence and teach you how far you can go on the front before going over......I have ridden many comps where there have been steep roll downs, knowing how steep you can go is a great thing to know. a lot front hopping is in the feet, you need to be scooping the back up whilst pulling with the bars, just try and correct yourself as you go........also get very steep! its easier when your steeper. to turn look where you wanna go and when the front wheel is on the ground (between hops) turn the bars the direction you wanna go (like a normal pivot).
  19. I wish I could make frames, but thats only a pipe dream I am afraid, so no production.....ever.
  20. took 30 mins for me ;) nice vid, some massive stuff, I really need to work on my power (Y) and phil, that was a massive tap near the beginning :shifty:
