  1. I have one, but I also find it hard to hold, I always get blisters, so it puts me off using it. I have got just over 12000 on it got it for £8 too :)
  2. my views are that there are no advantages of a long mod. I aint short and I loved the short wheelbase monty. A short mod is good for bunnyhops, twisty stuff, tech stuff, balencing on small rocks etc etc Long mods are harder to to bunnyhop, twist, on tech stuff and cant fit on as small rocks, no point tapping a mod either when a short mod can easily be bunnyhoped or backwheeled up. If they are too small, then get a stock.
  3. yep, mine froze tonight, 2nd time its ever happened to me, pretty funny  gonna bleed with antifreeze tomorrow though
  4. I need to bleed my brakes again tomorrow with ani freeze, went out riding today and after 10 mins my back brake was totally frozen, making my bike unridable lol
  5. lol, it was your bike that I probably hated the mostest out of any I have ever ridden, its like a bloody pogo stick
  6. narr not lollipop sticks, they cost, he goes and cuts down branches, cheaper that way. Narr, I believe curtis waaaaaaaaaaaay over price their frames, I remember Iolo saying somthing like the same tubing costs £100, or somthing like that, curtis then add £400 for labour and they still snap!! You can get tubing from £60 for a full bikes worth, wont be super light but it will do the job.
  7. easton EA70s are nice so are onza carbons oh and azonic b52 are super, but also super exspensive.
  8. I have ridden many a mod, but the only one that I actually LIKED was the monty 221, it just felt dialled, super comfy and enhanced my riding (almost 9ft static gap after 5 mins of beig on one!) the WORST riding mod I have ridden is the zoo python, nasty nasty bike!
  9. ohhhh believe me, there are better riding bikes than a python  in fact, the python is on my list of all time worst riding bikes ever!! get the zip, its nice geo than the python and its a british company and it doesnt have great big ugly green stickers.
  10. I consider myself a full time rider and I only ride about once a week
  11. yep, I would rather like the 6 speed one
  12. ohh, wind proof sounds good, as long as they ar still nice and thin (not like those winter waterproof gloves that are FAAAAT) My gloves are dead, so let us know about those wind proofs and I will probably get some :S Also Mr Porter, if you get some gloves, make sure they arnt tight around your wrist, a looser fit will reduce the arm pump you got.
  13. I know you dont need to calm down, I used to be pretty depressed and unhappy, but the way you see life and the way you live it inspired me, I now try to live the same way, life is too short to be unhappy. topics like this are a little confusing, your topic was closed, if it was mine I would just be thinking "Ohwell, whats for tea?" but you almost seem to take it personally? same with other people too, cinda conflics your " be happy" atitude, but then again, thats the message your trying to portray, dam I am confused :S Ps, this has actually turned into a nice discussion, good thread wayne!
  14. yeah, I have never got pissed off at anyone on here, never had a heated discussion or anything. I just dont really understand how people get so pissed off when topics are closed :S Its just a topic, the mods dont have a grudge on people.....get over it, the sun will still come up tomorrow. :P
  15. I recken people take this forum too seriously.....you included wayne :S A topic was closed, it doesnt matter......its just a forum. You always say people should chill out wayne :P
  16. at my shop I have built a few bikes with hayes cable disks, they might not be the same as yours but I am pretty impressed with them, straight out of the box they are pretty powerful.
  17. *think* they are from £200 upwards
  18. Iolo should be seting up his buisness in jan, so if you wait a little bit he will make you a mint frame!!
  19. Hi steve, I have some vee backings I could fill for you to use on the rear, also would be interested in maggie pads too :( many thanks
  20. a few comp riders might dissagree with that snappel..........Comp riders can be VERY hard on bikes, more so than street riders I recken.

    Jobs

I am at my local bike shop at the mo, only part time mind, and I dont get payed, but they sometimes give me stuff (like a buff today cos it was cold out (Y) ) I managed to work 3 days as a tool maker for a big wire company, the work was alright, but I couldnt cope with the hours (7.45 am - 4.30pm) I also only managed one day at a place that make mechanical bulls, it was too far to travel without a car for me. having good pay doesnt mean shit if you dont enjoy your job, the two places above were like £9 an hour, but I didnt enjoy them so thers no point doing it, I REALLY dont see the point of being unhappy, life is too short. I am working for free at my current place, but I enjoy it there, so I am happy.

change tha bar and/or stem for somthing higher, would go over what you would pay for the urbans, but will have a better effect than longer forks
