    Dirt Free Pads?

I cut grooves in my pads, have done for a while.
  3. I am sure I have seen that somwhere before *cough* nartr, seriously though, looks mint, like the paint job and its nice to see I wasnt far off the mark with my designs
  4. no rear rim and tarts are outta stock of red, not for long though I hope.........not ridden for nearly 3 weeks Although I have gon and put my mum and dads tandem wheel onthe back today, its got a *mint (*= crap) quando hub with an amazing 18 engagments. nice narrow rim too.
  5. if I had a working bike I would come, but alas, its looking doubtful
  6. I can tap a mod couldnt tap my hifi.....at all......ever......no way...... you have to chage how you ride when you get a high bb frame, that might be ok for someone who hasnt been riding that long, but I have been riding over 7 years, so its harder for me to change techniques.
  7. I would say I hae a good mix, my main meal every day is all organic stuff, all the veges are home grown (had 9 different types last night!) have porridge for breaky, but crisps and stuff at lunch time.
  8. I have the aim to be british champ in masters..............wether it will happen or not is another matter. I tend to think about what I eat, but I normally stuff junk in anyway.
  9. I have been riding for over 7 years now and I still love it, cant imagian quitting anytime soon I think it really helps having friends in the same mindset though, like I have iolo and Wad locally, they are really optimistic about everything (espeically Iolo!!). I did kinda get into the whole hight thing recently, but that got boring quick. Natrual riding doesnt get boring, its always differnt, never repetative. I am gonna make m bike a little more fun though, get some riser bars and a shorter stem on, having a bike set up purly for high taps and gaps gets a bit limiting. I tried bmx but I didnt like it, payed LOADS on brake parts to try and get some decent stopping power but it didnt work, my brake was shite. I cant ride with shite brakes, it takes all my confidence away! Also I found the bike too small, I couldnt move about on it as much as I like. I am tempted to get a 24" cruiser and pop some vee mounts on, I recken that would be nicer to ride. Shame bmx is sooo scary though, there wasnt a day I wouldt come back without an injury.
  10. pacific blue? I love Hans, I remember the first issue of mbuk I bought was him and the marti(y)ns riding california (the video footage of the photoshoot was in chainspotting) I was just blown away, I went and bought a gt after seeing him ride. I then saw him at the bike show in 98, I got his autograph and everything I have seen vids of him riding in the past and he was doing really hard stuff even by todays standars, but on an xc bike with hardly any modifications....what a ledgend. nice topic
  11. yeah your right, its the t vee, silly me. ace bike though.
  12. at my shop I work at we have a t bird (with v brakes) a T bird upgrade (with hs11) and a t pro. Out of all of them I prefer riding the bog standard t bird. I like the geo and the brakes are mint, really fun to ride. I dislike the t pro the most, I hate the brakes and the general feel, just feels slugish. there we go, just thought I would throw a spanner in the works
  13. chris is such a jammy b*****d having a bloody warehouse to ride in I would sell my teeth to have my own
  14. I am currently using a hope stem in 31.8mm, its ok, but I dont really want to get another. The kores are ok, bit plain though
  15. I feel guilty now I never managed to get the hang of taps on my hifi, but sidehops, pigeons (wheelswaps) and hooks were all nicer. The main thing for me was just the feel, it wasnt "fun" to ride, too twitchy. With normal frames I feel you can spice things up easier, things like backwards manuals, spinny stuff etc. I just felt that things like that were not as suitable on that frame. If you like to just do standard moves, then high bbs can be nice, but they just arnt for me.
  16. not keen on welded stems really, snapped a few in the past (were mod stems mind)

    New Video

didnt think it was great to be honest, kinda repetative too. maybe its just cos I dont like mods though lol
  18. thats my hi fi I had it a month, I just hated it. my friend has it now and everytime I go on it I jut cringe at how nasty it is. I cant imagian the A1 being nicer, infact I recken it will be worse due to the shorter rear end. even if you try a high bbe bike, you might like it, but its after a couple of weeks time that you begin to dislike it. I really reccomend either an ashton justice, echo control, onza limey, they are all really nice frames.
  19. would be a loose fit with 25.4 mm bars I will probably get a thomson, but it will cost me £30ish, I could get the fsa and race face for next to nothing, maybe free. But once I have got one I can ask for another, so I have to choose well. now then....I would have liked the thompson in 10 degree rise, but they only come in 5 or 15, which to go for? decisions decisions.
  20. of mine? fraid not, dunno where it is anyway, lost interest in using it a week after making it
  21. water tastes like air I recken
  22. I am with ben.... I tend not to worry myself about all the differnent styles. One day I like to ride streety, go off to the skatepark etc one day I might fancy riding rocks (most days ) one day I might fancy trying big taps and sidehops one day I mig..........well, you get the idea Like I said, dont worry yourself about what or how you ride, as long as you are riding its cool.
  23. I made one out of two broom handles for the uprights, just two pieces nailed together as a cross (X) on the bottom to make them stand (weight them down too, makes it more stable) I then measured (from the floor) and marked every half inch, then I drilled holes in the marks so I could put a nail in which ever I fancied. I used a small piece of bamboo as the actual bar, but it tended to flex and snap if you landed on it. You could use tape as said above but I doubt it would last long, or maybe a piece of string with small weights on the end hung over the nails, that would keep it perfectly level. Look around your house, you'll find somthing suitable.
