  8. think it was July 03, thats what it says on my pic anyway loving the paint job on the yaabbaa too
  9. no reason for all the comparasons really, I aint bothered they look the same..infact, I am pretty honoured that my design was plausable
  10. true get a control or a limey then (get ashton!!)
  11. thats what I run....tryall front, maxxis slow reezay rear. But I have just got a range of maxxis tyres to suit different conditions (mud, rocks, wet, dry etc)
  12. I am about 5, 10 and have had both long and short virsions. I MUCH prefered the short one, just seemed to fit better. Bad points?....hmm....not many......I did find the back end too stiff, kinda feels a bit dull at times, theres nothing like a nice sprigy frame. I also found the built in boster to be too stiff, my maggie didnt have any flex and it hurt my finger and made my arm pump worse. Other than that, its one of the best frames out.
  13. ebay heere thats only ten, but I am sure wally still can do his batch of 50 that he was doing
  14. shurrup pie face, you know how much you liked my control in scotland? Well the ashton is better
  15. Ashton Justice....rides aven better than a control (truth!) and is even cheaper AND is better looking. Get one from tartybikes
  16. yeah, getting around would be nice...but I have managed to scrounge off mates for nearly a year, I can cope for another few months yet The hijet was ok, a bit scary though....feels like its gonna fall over at any given point, also I am scared of a crash, theres like 1ft of car infront of where I sit, I wouldnt get off lightly from a crash. its also very slow. but it can fit lots of bikes in, and sleep two people on two flat surfaces.
  17. dont want a mini, not enough room. Dont wanna buy a cheap runaround car and just leave my hijet....that would be just like throwing away £1500. Might just end up getting an engine and then selling the hijet (even though its VERY pratical)
  18. well, it must have had a leak, or just not enough in from the start which is baaaaad of them. pah, I can can afford an engine, but I would rather save my money.
  19. its a different garage thats doing the repairs to tha one I bought it from. This was my first car ever, therefore I didnt (dont) know the first thing about them...so it started over heating, I didnt know what to do so we pulled up and let it cool down. We then carried on and got onto a dual carridgeway, it started clunking and overheating again, but there was no hard shoulder so I couldnt pull over. I got off at the next junction and it cluncked out at the roundabout when I stopped. So I did drive it over heated.
  20. yeah your right, it cant of been A1 condition...we tried to get my money back by reporting them to trading standars (selling unworthy cars or somthing)....but that fell though. I am gonna keep looking for engines...I was told by a friend that over £150 would be very exspensive for one, but even the cheapest one is over twice that! god I hate cars!!
  21. allo Heres the story........ Last feb I passed my driving test. A couple of weeks later I bought myself a Daihatsu Hijet MPV like this one I payed £1500 for it as it was in A1 condition and had cheap insurence...I drove it around for 2 days and then left it for another two. I did less than 200 miles. On the 6th day of owning it I then drove it and a couple of friends to north wales for the indoor comp in march. We got most of the way there and the dam thing fluncked out, luckily we managed to get a tow home. My garage said the headgasket had gone and the block? had warped, new engine was best bet. Its now nearly been a year and its still just sat there with the engine in the boot. I have (well, my mum) rang a couple of scrap yards across the country and a couple have engines to fit...but the cheapest one is £300 not including delivery, VAT or fitting. Is it still worth paying that much to get it running? If I did get an engine for it, I coupd possibly sell the whole car for near to what I bought it for and get somthing different. Or I could sell it for parts. What are your views?
  22. not too bothered that it looks pink in the pics...but if people come up to and ask me what I have done with the pink parts it will save time if they know its more red in the flesh. and I cant get over how nice the dam thing rides!!
  23. its a lot less pink in the flesh though
