if you cut the rubber to a VERY good fit in the backings then you can get away with little glue, or even no glue at all some times! so, actually making the pad can work, but wether the material works you'll have to find out.
if you must use a smooth rim, instead of using tar, you can slightly soften the pad by pushing it against a hot flat surface....it makes the pad slightly tacky and works mint on a smooth rim, even in water (but forget it when theres mud involved)
lots of ashtons Seriously nice pics! the level of riding seems very high as well, shame most of you are dirty street bashers haha, kidding. you guys would kick my ass on a ride any day!
was working minty bobs when I saw it in the pissing rain yesterday dont zoo pads need tar? doesnt that kinda defeat the point? I mean an egg sandwich would work with tar!!
yeah I am using the blues at the mo and they are the best pads I have used, even Mike Singleton who used to swear by coust pads now uses the blues! yellows seem impressive too
gaahhhh chav talk!! anyway, tyketrial are probably your nearest comps I think, they are normally held in west yorkshire and sometimes east lancs. They are also the biggest club and would love another member.
get the adamant if you want an exspnsive pogo stick (man I am getting bored of slating high bb bikes now ) Get an ashton if you actually want a bike to ride and have fun on.
I have had a titanium fsa isis thingy spinning away in my frame for the past 10 months without even a single hint of complaining at me. SKF bbs do look the bomb though
