  1. I find ashtons ride better with a high front end, and take out thepin in your rohloff and have it tucked up towards the chainstays. Other than that, jobs agood'un
  2. in 8 years of trials I have broken: 4 pairs of forks 1 handlebar 3 stems (snapped!) 5 frames about 10 pedals 1 bb about 10 rims 3 maggies 0 vees 4 avid disk calipers about 13 mechs loads of chains 5 hub axles think thats about it
  3. high bb is easier on the rear wheel, but thats it! anything that involves actually riding the bike on two wheels is crap. Anyway, low bb frames arn't exactly hard on the rear wheel, infact they are more practical as you can actually do useful stuff when on the back wheel, like gap. High bbs are TOO stable on the rear wheel, it hinders the ride rather than make it better.
  4. you were 13 last time we talked you small dwarf elk like creature!! KEEP ON SUBJECT narff
  5. I knew he was 13, I was trying to offend him by calling him 11. You sure he is as tall as me, he was a migit last time I saw him. Anyway, my views still stand about mods
  6. you would say that alex, your only 11 and as tall as rubbish bin, you would look stupid on a stock
  7. listen to an experienced rider.......I always say stock! Mods are for kids or small people. I find them very unsatisfying to ride, sure you can get up somthing, but then you remember your on a mod and the good feeling goes away. Being able to do the same thing on a stock gives you great satisfaction, its worth it in the long run too, you learn to do the moves properly rather than having a small light bouncy bike doing half the work. just my thoughts anyway.
  8. 16-14 is the usual gear as chris said. It is tru that the larger the cogs the fewer chains will snap (its all about leverage) so 18-15 is easier on chains, but 20-17 is even better than that.
  9. at the rate you were improving, you'll be up the big end of the loading bay in no time!
  10. I am happy with anything, pop two flags infront of me and I am a happychappy
  11. its a classic, its ace, I want it
  12. dam, reading all this would put people off having a girlfriend at all! cant say I have any girl friend troubles.........non of my friends are girls.
  13. shorter bikes are easier to learn on, but longer bikes can go bigger (though there are exceptions to the rule)

if its what I am thinking it is, just smack the top of of your forks with a mallet, thats how I always get my forks out.
