I got a pair, I was a bit weary about swapping from a vee as I havnt used a hydro rear brake for a year now. First impressions are very good, lovley finnish great tolerences (imagine a hope maggie and you wont be far off!), it was easy as pie to setup, all the hose fittings are m6, so you only need the one spair type, no m8 and olives! The leverblades are a tad square for my liking, but its not so bad. Once on the bike the attention to detail shone through. The way the hose leaves the lever is great, it would be VERY hard to knock and split it. The calipers are LOADS smaller than maggies, the extra clearence is amazing. I bled mine with water and it was super smooth and easy to pull. Like I said, its been over a year since I have used a maggie, I found maggies have loads of bite but not much hold, unfortunatly I consider hold as the most important aspect to a brake which is why I love vees so much. The Echo brake seemed to mimick a maggie in both bite and hold, suffice to say I have now stuck the vee brake back onas it just suits my style more. I dont really have any bad things to say about the echo brake, it is a bit exspensive, but you do get cnc clamps and blades as well as half decent pads, I could imagine a hope virsion would cost more. To sum it up.....If you like the way magies work, then these brakes are great! It solves all the problems maggies have and is lighter, cant be bad?

Gilles is a MONSTER! Cleaning the whole trial is stupidly hard! He made it look easy. Well done to Nick (G Unit) Goddard for a good placing (6th?) well done to stan and waddy too, keepin it real for the brits! I have no idea where I finnished, this was my first ever comp in masters so I wasnt expecting a good result, I was 19th out of 33 after the first day, but I have no idea where I ended up overall. The weather was REALLY hot during the day for the first couple of days, but REALLY cold at night too, I was freezing!! I was a little disapointed to wake up to snow on wed though, still had a good ride though. Buithiers is a fantastic place! Its HUUGE! Was really cool to see lines from past videos, you cant tell the bigness of the moves untill you see them for yourself, some of them are just plain stupid! It was cool to meet up with all my fave brit riders, we had some good rides and some good laughs, Mr Singleton took lots of pics, hopfully he'll put some up sometime, I think there was plenty of footage shot too. One highlite for me was finding three snakes!! I have never seen wild snakes before, so it was cool to see them. Its well worth traveling too if you can make it next year!!!

errmm, yeah, it was fun, it was hot, it snowed, there were rocks to ride. I have just driven for nearly 12 hours and am a bit tired, so I'll fill the post up after a sleep.

people pay that much for hope disks, this like a hope magura, lovley cnc machined and great performance. I LOVE vees, but theres no harm in trying somthing different, I would NEVER use a maggie though, an xc brake slightly modded to suit our needs isnt anywhere near as good as a brake specially designed for trials.

yep, anyone of any skill can enter most comps, theres only a few comps that are invatational.
-
you know I'll be there! The one you did in exeter was REALLY good!

I never thought I would leave vees, but I was really interested in trying somthing different to a maggie. I dont like the shape of magura levers and I am really scared of snapping them. This deng brake should be a lot better. As soon as I opened the box I could tell it was in another legue! Its machined really nicley and has some really nice details (like the hose comming out next to the bars, almost impossible to hit). It really reminds me of a hope mono trials in how its machined. Performance wise, I am REALLY impressed, the main reason I had a vee was because I would get arm pump with a maggie because it was hard to pull, with a little fiddle my brake is now easier to pull than my vee was! Its got a lot more bite than a vee, I can only hope it has the same hold! The weight is good too, lighter than a maggie and a lot lighter than my vee setup. and yes bigman, you can have your adaptors back (after koxx days if thats ok? got a lot to do tomorrow!!) put new stickers on too.

180 bunnyhop on the trials bike, 360 on a bmx. but I can sometimes do 540s on my front wheel

not looking quite so good now, I have snapped a bolt in one of the 4 bolt mounts!! in an attempt to get it out a tap has been snapped off inside the bolt making it harder to remove, the mount got pretty mangled so I have ground them all down to give a fresh flat surface to try again. not a happy guy! got koxx days in a few days too!!!

I cant wait! YMSAs are really good comps

the only episode that ever scared me was the one with the stuffed fox thing that came alive, espially when it was in the cupboard in the dark and it opened its eyes!! I liked the exploding mushroom episode though.

martyn wont/cant make me a vee frame, they will not be popular enough to justify buying 100 or so which would be the minimum order. not using my bash as its twice as heavy as the atomz one and probably weaker too lol oh well, was fun to make and I made a nice mess at iolos house

I can understand why you think so ash, if not installed correctly they can be a bit wank (I bent mine a bit installing it, so read the instructions carfully everyone) but mine is still working quite nicley.

thats like speaking french to me, signing up and typing on trials forum is about the best of my computer skills!!

fook knows how I download and play those, thanks for finding them though.

squishier than a elasticated toad!

Amily (or somthing like that) Pretty random film! in french with english subtitles, plot was a bit confusing, random french girl doing random stuff to make random people happy, then finds out she needs to make herself happy too and goes on a big "find me if you can" with some bloak who likes to collect discarded photos from photo booths. shes pretty cute though, so that bumps the score up, so I give it 7-10

spongy as a water soaked stoat!

haha, trust you to only film me when I dont make it up things bruno is a beast, that first tap is huuuuge, mid 50s easily, was hard enough to hook!

oh my god!! I would sell my teeth to play that game again!!! I only have vague memoris of it, I remember the opening vid to be really funny, wandering around on levels for ages then fiding rocket boots and flying around like a bat out of hell! or finding an inflatable thing and going swimming. oh my god!! finding the secret place with a jucuzzi and bar where you would get drunk or somthing, that was ace!! found a link to a vid of the game!! streets of rage was awesome! so was golden axe (found it hard though) and micheal jacksons game! or raging beast! Sonic was always the best though, the first one was the best of the lot too!
