  1. get a preying mantis, I have found them in spain and japan and they are brill to handel. They have loads of character and you can see them looking around checking everone out. plus the bigger ones can catch and eat birds! Another pet I want is a Giant Pond Bug, they are cool and eat worms and scraps of food from dinner.

    Tires?

weighty and grippy is nicer than light and no grip maxxis front and rear for me, not all due to the amazing grip, but a lot due to the way they react when folding over or on off cambers
  4. pretty cool:) Phils tap looks cool as well as stans gap. Pics look pretty crisp!
  5. if you go to shipley glen I'll nip down and have a ride too
  6. it shouldnt have needed any mounts as it was a 180mm IS caliper, you sure he has a 180 disk?
  7. you could wait for the sx26 ozonys frame, it has quite a long reach, but you can change how it rides with different stem lengths.
  8. there's light and there's practial, a heavier bike with grippier tyres or better brakes will always ride better than a light bike with slippery tyres and less effective brakes. Adams bike is light, but he hasnt comprimised with tyres or brakes, same with stan, all the parts are dependable but its still a VERY light bike.
  9. mine was ok, my origional 160mm one from 2004 was the best I had, more recent ones with 180mm disks and even shimano xt levers wern't all that great. Plus the leverblades begine to wobble after a few rides.
  10. seeing as I didn't even notice the earthquake I think the quarry will be just fine
  11. one of my drawings from years ago (good old pen and paper)
  12. was a pleasure to build, did a harsh mega grind on the rear for him, I bet his brakes working pretty well now!!
  13. felt stiff enough to me! I couldnt stay off the thing, its a flicky monster of a fun bike!
  14. stretching works really well! warm up for 5-10 mins first, get the blood flowing before stretching.
  15. tioga go down as the worst tyres I have used , and I have used a few.
  16. hmmm, I had some tioga factory dh tyres, was the compound made from grease? The grip made me think so I think I'll stay clear of these new ones and stick with maxxis.
  17. the more you ride the stronger you will get
  18. mine have been fine after 7 months of abuse, best forks I have had by far!
  19. nope, just lots of sweat and balls of steel.
