  1. Maxxis were the tyre of choice, but now continental are bringing out some REALLY good tyres that walk all over maxxis! if you want to save weight, get the rubber queen. If you want the ultimate grip and puncture protection, wait for the rain king or De Krauser, they are stupidly good!
  2. But then I have a 5 hour drive:( anyway, it looks like iolo won't come now, so I'll be on my own, that means I could get an earlier ferry going and a later ferry returning, but I would be on my own which is a bummer:(
  3. aaaarrrgggghhhhh getting stressed now! The only ferry I can find thats any good is an over night one from hull, however it gets in to Zeebrugge at 9.30 on saturday morning, you have to sign in for the comp before 11! thats cutting it close. Also I will have to be back in Zeebrugge at around 5.30 on the sunday after the comp, again cutting it close! And now the bloody P+O website won't seem to take my booking!!!!!!!!!!
  4. might have other plans, but if I can make it, I will!
  5. I am ok with mixing it up like he has, but the style he had while doing it wasn't to my taste, he seemed a bit sketchy at times. If he wants to pull off bmxy stuff, its needs to be smooth and flowing, I never really saw either in that vid. I am sure with more practice it would be great though.
  6. my plan is to get a cheap return flight friday-monday, stay in hotels and grab a hire car, I think its about the same price as driving and a ferry (4 hour drive to dover rather than 50mins to manchester airport). Might look into ferrys from hull though, could end up cheapest
  7. heh heh, I thought that was you, wasn't 100% sure though.
  8. if you see me, come and say hi
  9. hmm, thats odd, I always try my best to protect the hub the best I can (either bubblewrap around the axle or carboard spacers) and to individually bubblewrap other items in the box. I can only think it was a rush to get it out on that days collection, I'll double check next time!
  10. the de kraiser is better

    Yaaberr

Looks good Max, I hope you like yours as much as I like mine!
  12. yep, still rides, he came into tarty's the other day to pick up a couple of things.
  13. thought I had a surprise vid out then!
  14. Trialtech, SKF brearings in them, strong and not heavy, cant go wrong. Track threads are the same as trials screw-on cogs/hubs You won't have an issue with stripping them.
  15. my Yaabaa is a very practial 10.06kg, thats with usable tyres and a disk front brake.
  16. fair play, thats more impressive, didn't realise it was from 99 either! I think I could just about backhop by then
  17. not sure what the road name is, but yes, its on the road I take to get to kebs (its at Tod golf course if thats any help)
  18. hmm, maybe I should say why I don't like it. Its not the riding (there's still plenty in that vid I wish I could do!), I think it mainly comes down to the music and overall feel of it, its reminds me of punk Arerican kid bands (yes I know the vids Canadian). Its kinda just generic rather than its own style. There's no part in the vid (music, editing etc) that makes me think "wow". I guess I saw this after Revolution (which I really liked!) so it had a hard act to follow. Keep up the riding Brett!
  19. am I the only one who doesn't like it?
  20. those are my local rocks, 5 minish from my house, its not a large area, but its quality rather than quantity. Not sure how that rock got its groove, I think water running down from a puddle on top has done it. Great pics Jon, they have come out really well, I personally like the one of adam in the sun and the sunset one of Stan.
  21. those sidehops look fake they are so big! I am allways impressed with what you can do! I would sell my teeth to be able to do stuff that big! (I liked the music too!)
  22. all magura brakes use mineral fluid (including their disk brakes). Dot fluid is thinner than royal blood but unfortunately will swell your seals and make the brake usless.
  23. that turned out really well, thank your dad for filming! That alarm was going off all day, it was really annoying!
