  1. I never managed to replace my bearings getting them out was next to impossible! I don't know how a small amount of play helps with power, but I found it very noticeable! Loads of people use vees, I used them for 3 years and won a world championship round with them on!
  2. was an almighty comp! The sections were a bit "get up this rock. get down rock, get up rock, get down rock" which is fine, but it kinda lacked lines and gaps....but hey! a comps a comp and it was better than most UK comps! Sunday was a wee bit easier, I still had many stupid mistakes though, but between the mistakes I felt like I was riding fairly decent. Not sure how many dabs I got, I am sure I heard I was 1 dab ahead of Andrei and Wes on the sunday, but I don't know for sure. Cant wait till the World cups!
  3. instead of death, what about chopping off body parts......you could even give them to amputees!!!! Two birds with one stone
  4. they are good, but not worth the extra cost. I found them to be quite wide, making setting up harder........the bearings get rougher which can make the brake pull one side more than the other..........they don't have any play which can actually reduce power...........all the bits (springs etc) are seperate items making them easy to loose. I say stick with SD7 arms or use new shimano lx or xt arms (non linkage ones)

    The Lost Thread

I have only seen a couple of episodes.....do we know what the black cloud thing is yet?
  6. welcome on board team mate! This is great news, they did well picking you up!
  7. ... for trials. But Koxx Days is about so much more. There's nowhere at Lee Mill for decent camping (with facilities), flatland BMX, Unicycling, Dirt Jumps, Street BMX/Scooters... We are definitely up for running a similar event in the UK but finding a venue is something we haven't been able to do yet, and I guess that would be the first stage... Any suggestions welcome! Edit: Bloody Ali signing in on the work PCs
  8. sections were haaaard yesterday, hoping I will ride better today though. Its cool to see so many UK riders there, world domination here we come
  9. Vees actually have more power but require more maintenance and have less bite, but the sheer holding power is amazing!

    Pet Hates

I hate noisy people when your trying to sleep! People who piss directly into the water in a toilet, its really loud and splashes everywhere! Bad drivers Grumpy people on phones People who think they are right when they are wrong People who don't pick up after their dogs....DON"T OWN ONE IF YOU CAN"T CLEAN AFTER IT! People who follow fashion despite looking retarded People ignoring you People pestering you
  11. I am interested, will update when I find out if there are any comps on that week.
  12. I recken a low mod stem would be best, either a trialtech forged, try-all NUC or Monty 219 if on a budget. I think the Hifi stems will all be too low and make the bike ride worse.
  13. my code is: 18-16 with 170mm cranks 18-15 with 175mm cranks (what I run) The first option is good for ground clearence and is a slightly lighter gear, the 2nd option is good for more power but at the loss of clearence.

    Grinds

Thats a light but sharp grind. I think I'll use maybe one or two rims in a year, depends if I bash them really, but I get them through sponsorship, so thats one less thing for me to worry about.
