  1. I would like to ride if I am free and un-injured
  2. it means you can't hit the 90 degree connector when riding (something I did many times), it makes the brake harder to break.
  3. the Yaabaa has the better spec, no mech hanger to break and is strong as an ox.....it also rides amazingly!
  4. I want commission on every bike that goes and does that hose rout into the caliper! Has it changed since I last saw it? Looks as pimp as ever!
  5. Youtube Video -> Original Video I am really enjoying this band at the moment.
  6. pivots are needed in completely different places for cable brake levers though.
  7. you will never progress if you only do stuff you can do. All the top riders will be trying stuff that is just out of reach....yes they will fall off, but if they keep trying they will know whats they need to do to make it. One day it will click and you will make the move! Also, a positive mental attitude goes a long way! Don't look at the hard stuff and think "there's no way I can make this", you won't make it with that attitude. Instead, think "there's no way I am NOT going to make this", be confident. It works REALLY well!
  8. is it a loud deep squeal (almost a honk)? or is it a really high pitched squeal? Does the power feel good?
  9. soooo big! I wish I could ride like that! That ending made me jump, he was very lucky to get away with that!
  10. find somewhere that sells ployurethane, the colour doesn't matter so much (although it can make a difference) its the Shore A durometer (the hardness) that matters. Look for something with between 82 and 90 Shore A. The best way to shape it is with a REALLY sharp knife (like a stanley blade, or one of those snappable retracting blades). Use some soapy water as lube.
  11. cant have a good light tyre Tom! The best by far is the rubber queen, but that lacks grip and stability. Maxxis grip better, but the light ones have NO protection and come up narrower. You could try a kenda single wall, but they are slippery and have no puncture potection at all. I would say stick with a dual ply maxxis or wait for the new conties and cut some knobs off to save weight. The performance from the grip and thicker sidewalls out weights the weight saving by far!
  12. looks like a duck billed platipus! Looks well designed though, I bet its a god send to people who need it!
  13. ahh yes, I remember you telling koxx about your weight saving idea, nice to see they listened. And for you mr Travis! To bed with no supper for being a plonker! don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  14. yeah, they have a steel freehub body (where the cogs go) and stronger internals and axle.
  15. do you want it to be light, or do you want it to be good?
  16. I kinda agree with Lewis. a lot of being a good rider is in the head. If you are confident about a move, you have a much greater chance of making it. A positive mental attitude helps just as much as anything else.
  17. very simular to the rubber queen I think, that thing nearly killed me many times in Blackburn!
  18. haha, we swapped bikes and still whoever had kenda tyres couldn't get up it. I have nearly died riding the rocks in Blackburn on my old kendas, NEVER again!
  19. no I wasn't Wish I was though, that riding is just amazing!
  20. no idea who the rider is, but I LOVE Nicolai bikes!
