  1. Sorry, I didn't mean that to come out as every ones opinion I have respect for the riders and indeed it takes a lot of skill and determination....but bloody hell its boring to watch!!
  2. I used to ride everyday without fail, but right now I am riding once a week or once every other week because I just get frustrated with my bike or my riding and end up having a tantrum.
  3. I once made a myspace account, but I found it sooooo stupidly pointless I never went back on. I have a facebook account, I go on it maybe once a week for 10 mins but other than that I just don't get the point. and as for Twitter? The day I get a Twitter account is the day I throw myself in front of a car
  4. in the 11 years I have been riding, the Hifi was the worst trials specific frame I have had.
  5. I still think its possibly the ugliest frame produced. Still love you Joe!
  6. I have ridden there too, the concrete sea defences are amazing! Also very scary too!
  7. noooo leave the spacer on, they ride loads better with it there!
  8. But worse for almost everything else
  9. even if there is paperwork with the council about the money for my wage?
  10. Evening Gents I possibly should ask this in the RSQ thread, but I wanted straight answers rather than trawling trying to find them. Some may know I helped at Lee Quarry with getting some trials areas made, I spent a few days designing, taking photos and getting my hands dirty at the quarry. I never actually negotiated a set pay but was always promised a wage at the end. Its been over a year since I did the work and I have still not seen a penny! I have sent dozens of emails and left messages on the company's phone with not a single reply. I was going to be employed by another contracted firm at the quarry for 3 days at the rate of £150 per day, so that is the rate I asked for in my emails, the total came to £1050 all together. I have since been told that they charged the council £250 per day to cove my wage! I want to know how the small claims court works? Is this a valid case? I think I have been MORE than nice about it up to now, but I cant sit back any longer knowing I am owed a heap of money. What would you do?
  11. Haha, cheers for the big up Ads! It was an ace weekend!
  12. put them upright and in a bed shape, pop a matress on top and tadaa, a lightweight but breathable bed frame. If you want to go posh, make a four poster bed!
  13. nice pics! I never noticed you taking them, you must have been stealthy! I really enjoyed the comp, even if it was the fastest I have ever done one! It was a bit easy, but I am glad seeing as I had ridden an XC race moments before it! Plus if would have been much harder in the rain!
  14. sending my entry off tomorrow using the money I found in some old jeans
  15. I have never personally got that to work though, my headset always ends up getting gradually loser.
  16. I have a proto one on my bike and they are petty dam pimp!
  17. The SLs are perfectly fine in disc only, it was just the 4-Bolt mount that caused them to break, we have stopped selling the 4-Bolt model now and have had no returns on the disc only. We do have the 09 Urbans in stock: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=40 (New dropouts, disc mount and anodised finish for the black forks)
  18. I ride 90% natural and 10% street
  19. my Koxx Mixx! Its PERFECT for the job!
  20. I am entering, but I am also entering the Singletrack Classic Weekender comp where you have to ride a trials, DH and XC comp all on the same bike.....Its going to be hard to fit it all in!
  21. pah, only got a few clips on, they never showed me cleaning the pipes twice the logs and the rock sections Was still good though
  22. Hey Ric, enjoying the bike still? Not sure if I have any useful info on backhops...errmm...Most people I see learning them seem to be really rigid on the bike and either have their arms out straight, or so bent their chin is nearly touching the bars! When rocking onto the rear wheel, try not to pull the bars up to your body to get the front up, use your whole body weight to get you up, your arms want to be slightly bent but not rigid and you want your knees to be bent as well. Keep the whole body relaxed and centered over the rear wheel. Once you have gotten the bike up and you feel like you are directly over the rear wheel you want to start hopping as soon as you feel off balance. Don't try for big hops (like most people seem to do), you only need little hops to correct yourself. Don't expect immediate results, these things take a LOT of practice! You may find that one day you manage 3 hops, the next day you might get 7 hops and the next 10 hops, but then you might go back to 5 hops again...don't worry about it...it will come as long as you keep at it. (I remember the first time I got 13 hops...that was a good day ) as for foot positioning, it sounds like right foot forward is your natural stance...which foot you use the most for every day stuff often has no bearing on what foot forward you are for riding. Taa Ali
