I disagree about the standover not being small enough, pop a small seat or mini seat on and I bet you can still tuck like a whopper on sidehops. Also why do you need a tiny frame for drop gaps? You may be different but when I do a drop gap I don't go anywhere near the seat. Pop a longer stem on the inspired and that will make it more TGS

thats better Anyway, short mods can be good for natural because you can fit on smaller rocks and change direction pretty nippy. Thats what I think but I still dislike mods in general. I feel that if a short mod is too short, then you should ride a stock...but hey, thats just me.

Rode at the Dressler camp last week in Czech. When I wasn't being distracted by all the HOT Czech girls I managed to get some riding done as seen in THIS LINK .It also shows the other riders who rode too, there's a few so I wont name them all, but its worth noticing the guy (David) on the Monty Kamel with Trialtech forks has no brakes!

what a week! I am still at the camp now but most people are now leaving. Its been REALLY good, its like Koxx Days but more relaxed and more partying! There have been a few comps including a retro trial using bikes from the early eighties (great fun). An eliminator race (think crazy oldscool jap game shows and underpressure style comp). Then there was a freestyle comp with judges giving you scores for the best moves and style. After that there was the best trick comp where you had to find the craziest biggest move you could. THEN there was the classic trial which got you qualified for the eliminator final. I think I was on a bit of a roll and won all the comps! I got lots of cool prizes including shoes, gloves, belts, hoodies, beer, bars and an awesome watch! There will be some photos and videos of the event around soon, I'll link tthem in when I get home and find them. In the evenings there were live bands and much alcohol! I only went to bed before 3am once! Czech people know how to have a good time, I was a light weight compared with their 7am bedtimes! Oh, Czech women are AMAZINGLY good looking....I think I might move here!

sorry, they don't make such a tyre. Besides, you can get much better tyres than the try-all even if they made a folding version.

When I had my vee, by far the best setup I had was shimano LX arms (non linkage). Shimano st5 cable or whatever its called, its basicely 5mm gear cable that allows brake inner to fit in. Its pretty much Odyssy linear slic cable but you can buy it in 15 meter lengths and I found it to be much smoother. I used an SD7 lever (the speed dial adjustment is REALLY useful!) and I used my own joypad material in rockpad backings (http://cgi.ebay.com/2-X-3-X-24-URETH...3286.m20.l1116) No other pad came close to that, but I can't wait to try the TNN LGV pads when they come out! I also had an XTR booster (deffo needed if you want the uber hold a vee can give) man I miss that brake!

I found heatsink vee backings to be quite soft, I have stripped every pair I have had! I have had great results with TNN vee backings and Rockpad backings, both seem to have heat treated threads.

Thats how they did it back in 2007, the team was full, no-one complained, we got good results. Bring on 2008 and the selection process started meaning you have to enter the nationals. cue observers letting people get away with murder and an un-filled team (and a very unhappy me) now to the present and the same selection process but now an even small team! I would have LOVED to have done to Australia, but an injury back in march ruined it for me because of the selection process. HOWEVER, two of the selected riders managed good results earlier in the year but injured themselves recently meaning I am now fitter and possibly in for a better chance at a good result then them but I am still not considered (although to be fair I havn't asked to go as I can't afford it now). I can see why Joe is pissed, the selection process needs a re working!
