From what Ali's said, the police say it's a Paypal issue, and Paypal say there isn't an issue because it got cancelled...
-
This guy's a total f**kend. There's other stuff that's gone on with him too, constant lies, etc. Blacklisting's too good for him... Rusevelt - he lives in London. Ali sent him a proper letter, special delivery (so we know he got it) saying he had 14 days to give him either the bike or money or he'd take legal action. That time's up. EDIT: By OBM!

I am determined to learn these this winter!

police wont touch it as "its a paypal issue" and paypal are about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. I would rather not go and get it, as far as I know he may have a knife or a gun (yay for media telling me everyone in London carry them!). I have his address, phone number, proof of postage, all paypal transactions, all emails so I have a pretty strong case for the courts. The annoying thing is, he is trying to sell the bike for over £200 more than I sold it to him, lying in the description and even using the same photos I sent him.

Ok, to the senior members this is old news, but I wanna spread the word a little now. To keep it short, Ric Herr.Wolfkatze attempted to buy my inspired bike off me. We agreed on a price and I sent the bike down to him. I then found the Paypal payment he sent me got cancelled from his end, leving me with no bike and no money. This was about 3 months ago now and he keeps comming up with excuses. I then got linked to a gumtree advert that he put up trying to sell my bike! I am currently in the middle of sorting out paperwork to use in court. This is just a warning really, avoid him at all costs.

Brititsh Trials Cup - Final Round
Ali C replied to BikeTrial Federation's topic in Clubs and Competitions
I had a great time. I knew I couldnt get q good overall position due to missing so many rounds, so I just let myself have a laugh in the sections, trying wheelies and no strato dabs. This meant my score was pretty shocking, but it didn't bother me. Thanks for everyones help in the series, especially Barbara! Breaking an ankle while setting sections is commitment! -
Put a few photos of Ali riding at the Shipley Glen comp over on our blog. I got all artfag and shot them in black and white (although that was mainly so I didn't have to bugger about with getting the exposure right for the dappled shade). Here are a few to tempt you. Got a load of photos of Kieran Whitefield, Ali and Dave Kerr riding after the comp too that are going up online in a day or two! ...and from far right to far left

Loads of new stuff up on the blog! TartyBlog!

Plenty of new stuff on there...

This guy wins. I wore those gloves a few years ago for a good few winters and they were sweet. Only just started wearing out now, and they're about 4 years old. They tore through at the tip of my left index finger, but that's it. They're super good gloves. OBM!

Hey, yeah sorry for any inconvenience, we still had orders from the weekend that needed to get sent! we thought it best not to answer the phone for an hour and get down and dirty with the orders. You'll be happy to know that we are now back on top of the order and the phones will be answered as normal.

To make life a bit easier, and get all our stuff in one easily-updatable place, we've started up the TartyBlog, over at http://tartybikes.blogspot.com - there'll be riding photos, videos, info about new products, and plenty of other general bits 'n' pieces, so keep checking back. There's some photos of Ben Slinger being awesome at Shipley, a little mini-comp as a result of Ali getting angry at Shipley, and some photos of Ali in happier times at Back Cowm. Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it! EDIT: This was actually by OBM, ha.

I am after a laptop, mainly for internet use as well as watching DVDs nad maybe playing one or two small games. I am just after something to suit my needs, I am open to opinions. Ali
-
That describes it better than I could have ever put it!
-
just got back now, I am pretty tired after those long sections! I thought they were good though, I had a bit of a mixed ride, sometimes good, sometimes bad. But I am happy with 3rd place and 2nd overall in Britain!

it's ok, got it now

I am off down to meet Dave in a mo, but I have lost his number (D'oh!) It would be handy if someone could pm it to me? Otherwise does anyone know his post code?
-
true, but not when you add in an adaptor and booster
-
nope, it spins quite nicely thank you I can't come over this weekend, but maybe next?
-
Its plenty stiff without the booster, but it increases the brake holding power 10 fold with a booster. rear brake is: Shimano XT arms Avid SD& lever TNN LGV pads Salsa carbon booster Shimano SP5 cable Onza 4-bolt adaptors Works REALLY well! Also, don't let the longer stays put you off, its great on the rear wheel, it rides like a +30mm bike.
