  1. not if I want to roll stuff though I love front vee for a lot of stuff, but its just too loud for general riding. I plan to plonk it on for selected comps though
  2. sd7 lever = win. the xt has some crappy speedial equivalent that involves romoving spavers with a screw driver, this makes the brake have a "staged" feel and is plain inconvenient
  3. I like the normal looks, I have stopped wearing my skins as I feel like I should be in the circus or something
  4. you want to have your weight back while running up to the wall finally transfering your weight forward in the final stroke
  5. what he said I am running a salsa booster from 5 years ago, it would be nice to have a decent booster available now
  6. When I do an up to front, I prefer to do it from pedaling straight to front rather than hopping off the rear wheel. Basicly, as your front wheel comes up, just before you put the main hop in, start moving your body weight forwards, you want to have your chest over the stem with your arms bent (like your trying to kiss the front wheel. Land with your wheel just above the edge and let the rear wheel come up....just before the wheel is at its highest, let go of the front brake and push the bars forwards, your wheel should land where the front was.
  7. Ching Plenty of info on their site, this was just a brief intro!
  8. cheers for the comments lads Ben is amazing at editing, it took me a few views to notice all the little details, big thanks to the guy! Looking back, there are some things I am pretty happy with in there, but there are also things that make me cringe.
  9. I can both confirm and deny that rumour. We have a set of screw on cranks here BUT they do not have enough threads to be strong enough for trials, the shape of the forging doesn't allow any more to be machined either.
  10. Same as Ads, although they look totally different! Eagle Claw rear and Try-All front, aka the best tyre setup it's possible to run on a mod*. *Fact.
  11. Before TNN pads came out I used to run random pads. I rather liked one plaz (good in the dry, ace bite but lacking hold) and one koxx brown (good in the wet, good hold but not as bitey as the plaz). On my inspired I had one black pad set up close to the rim for modulaton and an Atomz pad further away for power when I needed it.
  12. Good tips, especially leaving the tyre on, so many people take their tyres off, but the release agent companies use to remove the tyres from molds, dirt and general ming will ruin a grind before you even get riding.
  13. I like to ride in shorts most of the time (even if its cold), the freedom of movement is great! Shoes are really important, I used to swear by ribos, but they have no fallen from favour as I now prefer 5-10s. The grip is amazing, if you havn't used them before they are like nothing else! They also grip rocks and walls really well (so they should being a rock climbing company and all) so if you ever dab or fall off, you have a lot more grip and can get out of tricky situations better. They last a long time too, I have had my pair since Jan and they are still great.
  14. well, we actually have some SP5 cable, its sold by the meter (like magura hose) its pretty new in so not on the site yet.

  16. looking good, Claire will be a pro soon! Lucy was funny too. Adams bike rides sooo well! I hate mods but his is acceptable Marks sidehops are funny too, he just keeps going up! I am annoyed I forgot my helmet, but it was a good ride anyway.
  17. well yeah, people combine pads all the time
  18. I only ever move the grinder in one direction. What rim have you got? Been riding in the wet or mud? What pads?
