  1. if your landing on it, your doing it wrong, so may as well go for the lightest bash ring possible just as a back up measure
  2. popped one on my inspired last night, bled fine first try, feels solid! The adjustment works exactly the same as a TPA on a magura, normal hope levers generally bite too far away from the bar for my liking, so I have to run the lever too close to get the bite point right, not so with the Tech lever.

    Spoke

Have you missed any sidehops and landed on the spokes? I have and snapped a few spokes doing other moves just from the damage of missed sidehops
  4. Hmm, I still think its not the same as what the coust bros use. I ordered some material from them directly and they sent me exactly what they send you, however I have had first hand experience with the real compound and there is a difference.

    Rowan Johns - Cs

I love you Rowan! That was fantastic
  6. sure did! you see, the problem is you havn't tried a rain king yet, they are honestly in another league! I thought the rubber queen gripped slightly worse than a maxxis (which the duro test backed up). the rain king just grips to anything, when you pick your bike up you can see they are actually stuck to the floor!
  7. I asked stan yesterday what would he rather keep, his fave frame ever, or the conti rain king...... rain king won. We have a duro tester here now, rain king came in at 39A, Maxxis st at 45A and a rubber queen was 50A. Rubber queens suck!
  8. wasnt impressed with the power of mine
  9. shocked that he has once again ventured into the dirty world of mods! Bike looks sweet though, must ride soon darlings!
  10. I agree with Mat, apart from the disc brake cleaner part, I have always found that to seriously reduce the power of the brake, anyway new parts will be as clean as they need to be from the packet.
  11. again, not too sure what advantages it has over other bikes, but would like a go to see for myself
  12. looking likley that I'll be there too
  13. Cheers dude What's what? Frame's a Zoo Lynx Long Disc. It is Adam's, yeah. He had it lying around, battered me into trying a dual disc setup up. It's amazing, so there's now a 4-bolt Lynx for sale with a brake fitted... They're a sample set of Atomz grips that are veeeery similar to Rockman thins. Yeah, Ads has a front Mono Trial kicking around that I might poach! Regarding the forks, they're great. Super stiff, not particularly heavy, strong steerer (which I usually break) - they're just good forks in general. It's strange they're not more popular because they're the best forks available. The price seems to put people off a bit, but then people are happy to buy cheaper forks that they need to replace more often? Seems odd to me. Equally, I like to know I can trust everything on my bike, and I fully trust these forks. Edit: This was Mark
  14. As the water freezes, it expands slightly and pushes your pads towards your rim. That's about it, really. It just means you can't ride, so putting a bit of anti-freeze in with your water means you can ride with a water bleed all year round.
  15. I always say trials is as much mental as it is physical. whenever I ride I am never doubting anything I try, I am always positive, always believing i will land the move. Once doubt creeps in your chances of nailing the move reduces noticeabley

    5-10! five-10! 5-ten! five-ten!
  17. vee brakes are about 16% more powerful than maguras!
  18. Precisely! In the same way that I wouldn't go out just riding in my 2XU top, you'd just wear something over the tights so no-one would really know (unless you were wearing shorts, obviously).
  19. I'll be there with stan and mark, getting there roughly 11ish
  20. I have had afew two full rotation backwards manuals, but I am pretty inconsistant. I found having my body really far back and fairly low helps as well as smooth pedaling, if its not smooth it will just sap your momentum.
