  1. I was out on my own today, but most of the time I am riding with my house mate.
  2. not bad if used with a short stem, ashton justices were a 73 degree head angle and I used that with a 110mm stem. If you had a bike with a 75 degree head angle and used a bmx style stem that would be fine.
  3. vee brakes are the most powerful, but have the least bite. What do you want all that bite for? think about all the times your depending on the brake, when is power the most important? Stopping the bike forwards when going on the back wheel? Or when going backwards when landing gaps, taps, hooks, and just about every other move out there? vee brakes have the most holding power, power when you need it most.

    Akmal Shaikh

the story is that he didn't know anything about it, apparently he was mentally disabled and the drug runners took advantage of him with promises of being a big pop star in china, they packed his bags for him and everything (with the drugs included). Its a bit harsh, I wonder if he managed to pass any info on about the people who set him up before his execution?
  5. Latest pic of my nearly 21 year old cat Tansy..looking a little worse for wear, but still going strong compared with my sisters 18 month old cat (Letty) who came to stay over christmas (Tansy wanted to kill her, Letty wanted to kill the squirrel)
  6. I would concentrate on being smooth. All the top riders can gap 9ft+ and they do it silky smooth too, mostly without a tuck too.
  7. I used to get mine from my local bike shop I used to work at. recently Tartybikes ordered it in for me.
  8. any shimano dealer should be able to get the cable for you, its basicly oversized gear cable (must be stiff otherwise gears would be all over the place)
  9. I would get a better cable than that, it will make a difference to the stiffness and the power of the brake.

    Commute To Work

usually 1 hour in the morning, 35miles. Done it not-so-legally in 35mins on the way home at midnight though.
  11. ok, in my experience this would be a good setup: Levers....Avid SD7 anyday, most comfy, light and very handy speed dial adjustment. Arms....Not so important, Adiv SD7 again good, otherwise shimano work pretty well too. Pads....with a grind DEFFO TNN LGV pads! work well on smooth rims too. Booster....DEFFO worth having, not really to make the brake stiffer, but it will double the holding power of the brake. there are not many out there at the mo, see if you can find a Salsa or carbon shimano booster on ebay. Cables....REALLY important I think! I now would only ever use shimano SP5 cable, it doesn't compress, can be cut to length and is very smooth.
  12. could have dabbed or asked for a 5 In my eyes street riding is more dangerous, but that could be that I have ridden trials for 12 years and I have a pretty good idea on when things are going wrong, I think the same can be applied to street too, if you have been doing that for a long time you get a pretty good feel for how things are going.
  13. yeah, hammer and screwdriver, the most universal tool ever! Its still pretty "normal" for zoo headsets to be like that, if it was me I would try it first before spending more money.
  14. its the same piston and caliper size as a mono trial (so same power), but it has the moto lever, vented rotor and post mount caliper. Its heaver than a mono trial because of these changes, but if used with a normal mono trials rotor and frame/fork with post mount, then its very handy. (perfect for Atomz post mount frame and forks)
  15. a lot of zoo headsets are like this, you will not notice it once fitted and it will become smoother with use. If you do want a bearing, then Tarty sell them.
