    Magic

that ones easy, the balls reflection is actually another ball, they are held together with magnets and when he pulls the ball away with the cloth, the other ball falls down. I have never seen that trick before, but the way he never picks the ball off the table and pulls the cloth off with what looks like a ball sized lump in it gives it away a little Dam, Rowan beat me too it
  2. high performance tartybikes pads. these create friction when applied against the rim, magic happens and the bike stops

    welcome to the club.
  4. there is a tube welded onto the seat tube to stand on. I fell off it on my first run as I hit some rocks I didn't see, hurt my finger
  5. its pretty indestructable, but bear in mind that its designed for dot fluid which is a lot thinner than magura mineral oil, so it will make your brakes slower to react, its not such a problem with water though, but its still a bit slower than standard hosing.
  6. I like the good old filling the resevoir up, undoing the bleed nipple on the caliper, pulling the lever and while its pulled, close the bleed nipple and let go of the lever.....this sucks the fluid through the brake (and repeat), I have never failed to get a perfect bleed this way and its quicker than a maggie!
  7. lets just say I am glad I don't drink!
  8. you may not be proud of them Tim, but I think they are corkers! Thanks for up loading them, are you still in Leeds? I am well up for another ride! PS, LMAO at Stans last pic!
  9. they are pretty sweet, the effect is growing on me a bit (thought it was one ugly duckling at first). The main thing that annoys me is the silly narrow bars, I don't know for fact but they must be around 25" wide!

    Snow

got about 7" on the floor here, though most of the main roads are clear so I have been able to get to work so far. I would rather there not be any snow though, I wanna ride!
  11. I had a king headset once...never had one again...nuff said! I have a hope in one of my bikes now, its OK I guess, a cheaper FSA one works just as well, weighs about the same and is a lot cheaper! Also the Echo SL headset is a pretty good bit of kit!
  12. We'll need a lot of rain to get it cleared of snow by the 30th! I'll be up for it though when its clear again
  13. I have had more than one eno slip consistantly. My echo sl has been the most reliable freewheel I have ever had
  14. martyn is ace, plus I am suprised Hawsy pissed you off, what did he do? He is one of the funniest guys I have met
  15. Maybe I am more positive in my head than on the forum (probably get all my good vibes used up when answering the phones), but I see people who make worse comments than me.
  16. I guess I do but if I don't like something, I arn't going to make a positive comment am I? Same as most people. Likewise if I do like something, I'll make a positive comment.
  17. frame is good looking, but that geo is not my cup of tea, the old python was the worst bike I have ever ridden!

I read that news story and I can honestly say it doesn't bother me. You always see on the news of "the latest person to die at war". I don't want to come across cold hearted but....I don't care. They signed up to the army, they went to war, surprise surprise some UK people died. You never hear of how many Iraq people die. If the UK people expect processions for their dead, whats the problem with Iraq people wanting to do the same? Unless I missed the point completely and they want a procession for the talibal fighters?
  19. is it just me or do frames not need to be given a category? On my trials bike I'll ride natty, comps, street and even hit dirt jumps if given the option. I see no need to give a frame a category when the rider could choose to do anything on it.

I am going to go against the grain and say no. Those cranks don't have many threads, so by using a bash ring, you risk stripping the crank. You maaaay get away with a thin trialtech ti bash, they are about 3mm thick. Best bet is to put a bash on (or something to the same thickness) and count how many threads you have left, 7 threads should be enough to hold without stripping.
