  1. using the TPA is fine in small doses, but it sounds like your winding it on too much and making the plastic dial come out of the threaded push rod. If you need to do more than a couple of turns, its best to move the cylinders closer to the rim.
  2. well I work at Tartybikes in Preston, so Blackburn is well on the way home lol
  3. cool, we tend to ride after work a lot in places like Burnley and Blackburn, but more local at the weekends (and when the sun stays up in summer)
  4. Yeah, where exactly are you? I don't tend to ride Hebden all that much, but your more than welcome to come for a ride anytime we are out.
  5. Yeah, well worth entering them, I did my first tyke trial comp over 12 years ago!
  6. there's a few here, Myself, Onza Boy Mark, Mat Smith, Little Sam plus a couple of newer riders too. I love to ride Lee Quarry (I helped with getting the trials specific stuff there), but at the moment I am concentrating on street, but once the comps start again no doubt I'll be up there for training.
  7. possibly today! I'll send you a pm hen we set off
  8. Tricky one this, my feeling is that if you have the rear brake on, then that allows you to remove all slack from the chain, when you then put the power down you put the chain from "slack" to "tight" in a fraction of a second, thus putting a lot of force through it. The opposite is brakeless, when you have a constant pressure on the chain, it doesn't have such a quick difference of state, so would be harder to snap. just my 2p worth anyway
  9. stanley knife, some water as lube and bingo! over 200 pairs of pads for 16p each. They do whatever size you want if you ask them though, I recently bought a 10mm thick sheet, so ideal for pads.
  10. what joke? that IS the material.
  11. I like it, looks pretty
  12. these guys can help you (so can Mike)
  13. all well and good, but that stuff doesn't touch paint.

    My Mate.

sure is a good rider, but his riding seemed like he had got the big book of bmx tricks and ticked them off one by one. there didn't seem to be much personal style going on, but I guess that's kinda the nature of skate park riding.

  19. feeling ill, went riding with Mark anyway, was pretty good but I ran out of energy and got cold
  20. echo cylinders do fit magur calmps (evo 2 ones included) but you need the plastic C clip like you would get on a magura. Also, if its not fitting due to the rim width (your post was a bit unclear to what was the actual problem) then a magura won't be any closer to fitting.
  21. if its thorns thats giving you the trouble, then the advice thats been given is good, if its pinch punctures, be smoother.
  22. inspired seat and post is pretty neat and light
  23. one word*....redbull bike battle. *may actually be more than one word
