  1. I have had a frame, cranks and seat clamp anodised by a proffesional company before, that cost £35 (not including postage), I thought that was pretty cheap. Santacruz charge an extra £200 for their frames anodised rather than powder coated.
  2. Hey, you may have seen a lot of photos of me riding an Inspired lately, well the kind chaps at Inspired have decided to add me as an official Inspired team rider The team riders page has been updated with my info and a few pics. I am currently working with OBM to produce a brakeless vid, so keep an eye out for that. I would like to Thank Dave and Jon at Inspired for all their time and effort spent helping me with parts, I hope I will represent Inspired well and I look forward to riding their bike around the country.
  3. I would just float over them, need my heavy wheels on just so gravity can act against the bike.
  4. zip tie the cog to the spokes, it sounds so simple but all you need to do is stop the hub going backwards, there will be no load going through the ties.
  5. I agree with Ben, not ridden a limey I liked yet.
  6. a refreshing change to see a good quality video on TF, I enjoyed that, keep up the good work mr Travis! rain on the brain now there's flowers in your window she well she's so strange i don't know anything about her but if it's all the same to you here's what i'm gonna do i'm gonna write a song gonna sing it to everyone and then i'll sing it to you cos it was you that wrote it too this could be the last train search within yourself for feelings everybody's got them you left me on the shelf and no there'sno one to rely on but if it's all the same to you here's what i'm gonna do i'm gonna buy a gun gonna shoot everything everyone and then i'm coming for you cos it was you that drove me to this could be the last train woo woo woo woo woo woo woo woo rear window with the room in the hair and on her jacket there's a picture in white of che guevara as he sits beneath the tree but that's not important but he looked a bit like me if you took all the little feelings in your heart and took all those little feelings all apart oh well now what's the point in doing all of that

    I Had To Share!

found it slightly dull to be honest and its was pretty over edited, he has got some power though.
  8. WRONG!! YOU ARE WRONG!!! It was Reed Merchant (the maker of said film). SUCK MY TOES LOSER! Back to topic, I have never had the manual dream, but as Mark said, I also have no feelings. Edit: I have had a Manual dream! I dreamt of Rowan Johns.
  9. a serious post now.....if you have vee mounts, don't be crazy and put a magura on it, get a good quality vee on and be amazed how freekin amazing it is.
  10. I had one on my racing bmx, it was pretty good, did its job and was light. The bad thing was when I came to remove it, I used a proper tool, but the bearing just shit themselves and the races all fell out leaving bearings all over the floor. Had a king too.....never again Pigs weigh about as much as a real pig Echo sl gets my vote
  11. very nice, but a 85mm x25 stem would make it complete!
  12. You could fit a 74kings style tensioner, but it sounds like you like it slack (and a loose chain ) I think I would personally have different tyres, I know light ones make a bike feel nice, but once you ride anything not flat the lack of grip and stability really shows.
  13. VERY clean looking bike, very simple and nice, sooo light too! there are some parts that I would not use, but if it works for you then why not. also not convinced about a slack chain, why not just run a freewheel with fewer engagements and have a chain that will last longer?
  14. Sounds just like the chain skipping on the rear cog to me. Remove as many links as possible from the chain (might just be one looking at the pic). Another thing you could try is to modify the tensioner. un bolt it from the hanger and remove the little pin with some pliers. then push out the hanger bolt and replace the silver tophat spacer with just a pedal spacer or something that fits over. This will allow you to move the tenioner arm closer to the chainstays and lock it out so its quiet. I would be willing to bet that will fix the porblem.
  15. Dave, is the date 100% confirmed? Cos I now have a dilema! There is another comp on that weekend at Lee Quarry with Singletrack Magazine (the trials/dh and xc race) that I had been wanting to enter since last year, I REALLY want to go to both!! I would be gutted if I missed either event.
  16. sounds pretty sweet! nice one on not being selfish with spending the money too. I am happy to help with any design work, give me a shout if you need me
  17. YESS! where's my sunglasses? I still think an Ashton frame would have been better lol
  18. its not about what you can and can't do, thats missing the point completely. its about setting new challenges, learing new stuff and having a great larf
  19. its completely different to just "not using them"
  20. hard to tell with the snow, there was one in the woods with a very tricky part, but all in all they looked very good.
  21. never ridden a leeson, but my gosh, its sexy!
