possibly the only mod rider I like watching, such an effortless style. Shame about the on-off sidehops though. I loved the tune on the othr hand (compliment sandwich)
  2. last year Thinkbikes did it, so did Trials Display and Andrei's demo team. So yes, plenty of people have done it, and no, I havn't thought of doing it.
  3. you guys are taking some pretty small comments where we did not diss his riding and changing them completely. he is a good rider, thats obvious no matter what wheel size he's on, I purley thought that that bike had not as many advantages as 26". He gets on with it though and that's fair enough, stop making a mountain out of a molehill.
  4. where did I say he is a bad rider?
  5. well I am not a fan of 24" at all, be it street or natural.
  6. I don't think there's any cat that meows the same as Tansy
  7. after her anual bath

cool riding, I know Oakworth is really tech and hard to ride so fair play! How are the shoes now?
  9. you know Dave's taking the piss right?
  10. My cat Tansy is 21 years old today, happy birthday puss!
  11. not saying he shouldn't ride that bike, I just don't see any advantages.
  12. Maguras are still not "designed for trials" they are xc brakes that we use.
  13. because when I am doing spins my leg pushes the vee arms onto the rim, never been a problem when riding normal trials though.
  14. my rear vees were always easierr to pull than a water bled maggy
  15. still trying to find a place to try them!
  16. I am back using a maggie (booo hiss) and I could NEVER ride with standard oil. There is pretty much no bad points to water bleeds. You don't need to top them up after 3 months, it doesn't ruin the brake, it DOES make the brake feel a million times better though, it DOES reduce arm pump. It's a good job not everyone sticks to guidelines otherwise we would never see improvements unless companies did it themselves.
  17. I like his rolling style, but the video didn't blow me away. I agree with Rowan too. There didn't seem to be any riding that took advantage of the smaller wheels.
  18. cheers for the comments guys I learned flips last year with Iolo at a skate park where we took a matress with us and put it on top of the jump. Tokk 5 crashes before I landed one. I then went back this winter and tried them without any soft landing and landed 8 in a row. I now do shows for the Clan where I do a flip at the end, so I must have done around 30 of them for the shows by now.

worst frame I have ever owned
  20. hmm, I found that very hard to watch, wasn't my cup of tea at all.
  21. from my experience, having the bars that far forwards upsets your entire body position on the bike, forcing your elbows out, shoulders in seriously reducing the ability to flex your body and move about the bike. Unless that is you only ever go on the back wheel, but in that case you may as well go to Argos and pick up a pogostick. As for looks, I am usually not a mod fan and even less of a Zoo fan, but that one actually is one of the better looking ones I have seen.
  22. the other side of the story is that a sponsor may want you to run parts you may not be keen on or do stuff you may not want to do.
  23. you have got to think "what can I give". Sponsors wont give you anything for nothing. Sponsors will give riders stuff (discounts, parts, money) as long as they are getting the promotion to the punters who could be buying the product. Comp riders will get sponsors if they can get good results and their names on the results sheets. Some sponsors my support riders if they make promotional videos others for doing shows and other promotions. I am lucky in that I have some great sponsors. I used to do fairly well in comps, but more recently I have (with OBM's help) gotten a good selection of good quality photos and video footage. But I also do shows with the Clan and have just got back from a video and photo shoot with Victoria Penalton (name drop) in London for a Gatorade ad campaign. If you work hard, get good on a bike, behave well and get people to want what your running then your on the road. don't forget why you ride though, riding to me has and will always be for the fun (and the money if I can get it lol). Have a search, I wrote a longer "guide" in the past
