  1. ahh, the infamous puddle of aids. I was expecting more dead pigeons though. cool riding, but I see you guys ride all the time so I expect no less. Also, lack of music means I can experiment with other tunes to see if they suit riding vids, yay.
  2. you won't after a while...what I would give for a silent bike!
  3. stop worrying so much, I bought one when they first came out, fitted it and never touched it since, it is now on someone else's bike still going strong nearly 2 years later. I have also hada a TR and Ti Sl freewheel and again, they worked flawlessly with nothing ever done to them. PS, yes that grease should be fine on the threads.
  4. I only spent 2 years at highschool then left due to manic depression and got home educated by my rents.
  5. 180 miles isn't far (I did 200 mile round trip to Loughborough to build wheels yesterday). Leeds is pretty good, not the best place I have been but far from the worst too.
  6. I wouldn't worry too much if you don't do well (unless you need them for college or something) I didn't even take my GSCEs and I still went to college and got jobs etc.
  7. Worst spelling of "any" ever (ignoring the other annoying spellings).
  8. you do get disk only rims too, but they are usually mtb parts, if you are getting a wheel from a trials company, it will almost definately allow a hs33
  9. not convinced this topic will work, there are quite a few variables like people buying the wrong part for the job (a light comp part used for street) or fitted incorrectly (brake pads setup at an angle) or people expecting too much from a product (using street tyres for natural and being suprised when they don't grip).
  10. yeah, well my thought is that with the motorbike, you would be used to rolling stuff, having your feet quite low and would want a bike to not be too extreme. The Rockman is a bit shorter, so the riding position would feel closer to the Beta (especially once you try different bar and stems) it has a low bb so will feel very stable and good for rolling, it will also pull up to bunnyhop and manual slightly easier too, again something you may like after riding the Beta.
  11. hmm, pretty much the opposite to what I would have said.
  12. hmm, you're probably not going to like what I say, but I'll say it anyway, If you get a GU, it will ride VERY differently to any trials bike you have ever had. It is very long and has a very high bb. I don't know what level of riding you are at, but if you are just starting again I think the geo of the frame could hinder rather than help. It will be VERY rear wheel bias, you'll be suprised how easy it will be on the rear wheel (so if you live you're life on the rear wheel like a TGS rider you'll get on like a house on fire) but it will be comprimised on other aspects like two wheel balance and you'll have to adjust you're riding style otherwise you will struggle with sidehops, taps and gaps. If you like to roll about, bunnyhop, spin and generally lark about and still be good for trials, I would reccommend a lower shorter bike. I know someone bad mouthed the Onza Spyo, but I think they are great, dead simple, good frame, good geo (for it purpose) and a good price. that's my view anyway after 13 years of riding.
  13. But vee brakes are cheaper still (especially if you already have vee mounts), lighter, more adjustable and have more hold than HS33s. but yeah, trialtech grips are very good.

  19. I heard the opposite.
