We didn't feel the need for a disk mount, on 26" they tend to feel pretty naff. I also don't like the looks of the mount and bracing arm, I prefer a sleaker simpler look.
  6. may as well not run a grind if you want to use tar, also may as well just get the cheapest pads you can buy if you want to run tar. Just grind, it's just better than anything else. I am using tnn LGM pads on the lightest grind you have ever seen (I just scratched my rim with the grinder, you can still see smoother parts that didnt get touched) and my brake is REALLY good, infact it's too loud for me.
  7. haha, 1min for me Kids got balance, but was still a bit boring, plus the music was dire
  8. I heard Lance Armstrong was better than Steve Peat.
  9. wellington boots are a good option too. (actually, Kris Leeson did ride a comp in wellies once, and won too maybe).

    and here (my bike)
  12. haha, I am 1.5kg over the weight limit. They are cool bikes, very minimal though.
  13. argos sell pogo sticks fairly cheaply if you were interested?
  14. yeah, good stuff dude, I wish I was that good when I was 15! Infact, your still doing a lot of stuff I can't, keep it up!
  15. well, funny you should say that...The mono trial caliper does actually flex, you can see it when you pull the brake hard enough. To the origional poster, how old is the brake? Newer pads are softer than used compressed pads.
  16. the tr clamp are all well and good as long as the frame mounts are straight and the rim has a flat sidewall (not angled like old try-all or trialtech).
  17. is the bolt still in there, or has it come out? if it's still in there, just bend the spring by hand (may be possible without the bolt too)
  18. that's another vote for "don't get a Mountain King, get a Der Kaiser" The extra weight is far FAR FAAAR out weighed (excuse the pun) by the extra grip (best of any tyre, I don't care about "my Try-All has the best grip I have tried" IT'S NOT AS GRIPPY AS A DER KAISER!). It also has the best stability of any tyre going, you can land on almost any slope and as long as it has grip (which is likely) then it shouldn't bounce and squirm around like other tyres do. Oh, they actually last longer than any other soft compound tyre out there does too. Bonus points awarded to the Der Kaiser!
  19. hope never made a two part trials brake. That sounds like the origional "mini" brake (I had one, it was awesome).
  20. Where I live though, in the pennines, there are lots of steep hills then sharp downhills. It's really annoying having to stop all the time and adjust the post, I would much rather be able to do it on the move. I am not so sure about getting a remote one though, seems easy enough to me to reach under the seat and do it that way, I hate cables.
