a steep headangle doesn't make for bad bunnyhops. My inspired is 73degrees and I can bunnyhop 50" over a bar on it and I would actually like it a tad steeper if anything! You have a low bb on your bike, that extends the reach. If you steepen the headangle and raise the bb the reach doesn't get effected as much. Sorter chainstays and a higher bb make it easier for hops too as the movement of the hop happens a lot faster. A bunnyhop is an explosive move, just like a gap, the faster the acceleration the better for distance/height, Yes it will make it slightly twitchy for manuals but that will make it easier to to turn while in a manual and even spin out of them too. why anyone would want a "stable" bike for street use is beyond me. The other advantage is that the shorter high rear also makes it pretty good for trials usage too. 385 rear end is fine, I would deffo not go longer than that, maybe 380 would be a good comprimise.

24 'pure Trials' Bikes In Comps. And Trials In General.

hmm, they are gay? Narr, I am sure 24" would be fine for comp use, but I really don't have much of an opinion on the matter. -

you may run into trouble with tyre/chainring/seat clearence with that short a chainstay length and seat tube angle

more bb rise will help with spins, as will a shorter back end, more so than a shorter wheelbase will do anyway..

I liked the April vid, but I hated the song, hence I have watched it 4 or 5 times. This new video has already beaten that number of views.
-
cool, that has just changed things. That was amazing, so much better than his April vid. His riding is just another level, makes my new video stuff seem lame. I love him and hate him at the same time!

ahh, very nice! Loving the high 180 hops and especially the halfcab to rearwheel to 180, that was sweet. -

I enjoyed that Was a bonus to get in free, maybe people will see us on ITV? After you guys left I went and threw myself at the resi ramp, alllllmost managed to get a flair, but then they switched off the lights for some other filming shiz so I went home. -
it's not always best to learn on super light equipment. Look at runners, they use heavier shoes and clothes when training, same with tennis and other sports. You will be a better rider if you learn on something heavier and if you learn how to swing a bigger stock around too, you'll learn even more.
-
it's better in the same way that you can go faster in an F1 car, but you will be a better driver if you learn on something slower and heavier and really understand how racing lines and correct gears effect things

explain? I would go on about TNN LGM pads wet weather performance being the best I have tried and also the TNN video of them deliberately using the pads in the wet, but I wont. TBF, there was already something on the market that had filled that need before Phatpads.

wow, short notice, but tempted, very tempted! -
if the annodising is thick, you may have to leave it longer to get the full reaction. When I have done stantions on sus forks before, it's been a real effort to get the annodising off

if the bowl is full of cherrys, then surly you will get a cherry?

I prefer stock, Mods feel too much like kids bikes to me

not a mong just every time I read the topic title I think it's a picture of a twisted Marino (like Damon Watson's)
-
well I am not sure, but I would say most people pushing themselves see crashes similar to yours often. Last week both Mark and myself were rolling around on the floor (ohh err)

agree about the ligament injury, I have done it twice now, pretty painful and a loong time not riding! I am fairly lucky though, the first time I did it I knew I had done something bad and got in touch with Physio, he put my ankle in a cast and once out felt pretty good (apart from being week in that foot/leg for a while). The 2nd time I did it I only thought I had twisted it (my pain receptors were apparently damaged from the first time) so carried on riding, but over 3 weeks later (at the big London ride actually) it began to get too painful to ride. I visited physio again and he said it had snapped again, only this time it had begun to heal and set the ligament in the wrong place. After a bit of thought, I decided to have it re-snapped and set in cast again so it was strong in the future. Lets just say, having someone wrench your foot around with no anesthetic until the ligament(s) snapped was the worst pain I have ever had, I went into total shock and couldn't talk for half an hour because I was shaking too much. But it's been over a year now and my ankle feels pretty good again, I don't notice it at all when riding, though sometimes I like to wear a brace if I am trying something new. Now to find some wood to touch. So yeah, if you have a choice, break a bone rather than a ligament! I also had a bad injury about 9 years ago when my chain snapped dropping off a small rock, I landed straight on my nuts on the stem! They swelled up to near orange size and I had to go to hospital to have ultra-sound scans on them. Fortunately for me they were only bruised (badly mind) but for about 2-3 weeks after I couldn't stand up for more than half an hour as the weight of them would cause a lot of pain.

you need to accept criticism and be aware that crash was pretty tame

I am curious about the name? When someone mentions twisting and bike frames, I automatically think of a broken twisted frame. Bike looks ace, not sure on the name.
-
if it's the powder (the best form) then get a plastic container (not an old takaway rice tray as I found out) and fill with hot water (the hotter the stronger the reaction). Find an old toothbrush and apply to frame, wait a few moments and you'll see the frame reacting. Leave for as long as you dare and wash off with cold water.

looks nice You know higher bb is better though
