  1. I would get other clamps if I were you.
  2. shame they were not made or uploaded in 2010 though Kaarel: Danny's vid is trials, he even hooks, sidehops, dropgaps in the vid better than a lot of tgs riders
  3. What bike do you ride ? Inspired Hex How long have you been riding ? 14 years! Favourite trick ? I do like 360 front pivots a lot Best riding spot ? Blackpool (just moved there) Sponsors ? Inspired, Tartybikes, TNN, Trialtech How often you ride ? Everyday when the weather lets me (I live 30 seconds away from some pretty awesome stuff to ride)
  4. If I want to go in a straight line then yes, I agree lower bb would be better. As for Lance and co, sure they are good, but so was Giles Coust and Vince Hermance when they rode level bb frames (thought the best geo at the time). I am pretty sure a level bb frame would hold them back for a lot of stuff now, I predict dirt and street frames will eventually get higher/shorter backends as riders finally realize there is a reason why bmxs are like that. (and yes I do realize I am comparing two different sports, but the point remains) While I am on about bmxs, lets look at the geos of the different types. Race bmxs need to be stable at speed and in the air, they have no need for spins so their frames are usually longer in wheelbase and chainstays as well as a lower bb. Dirt frames get slightly shorter for easier spins, but are still a bit longer to help stay stable when being a trailboss. park and street frames get shorter wheelbases, shorter chainstays and high bbs to help with spins, they don't usually go as fast so don't need the extra stability. Flatland, super short, super high, no need for stability when you only travel in circles. The NS frames are a step in the right direction, but most people still use frames with geo also suitable for 4X (EG, Race bmx above). Perhaps people arn't ready for more radical geo much like trials didn't like high bbs when thy first came out, but once people realize the benefits I think it will be popular.
  5. new sport of bike pushing? I would go, but don't fancy the ice, amount of shoppers plus I may get myself in trouble and get beaten up.
  6. 2 piece external bearing trials specific cranks (Though I know of one company looking into that). silent but good freewheels/freehubs more vee brake specific frames plazmatic style textured rim surface (if you are new..look it up) a tubeless system for trials wheels/tyres more frames that can take seats but still have up-to-date geo
  7. much better than I was at your age (I didn't eve know what trials was!) but you really REALLY need to consider getting a shorter stem, that one is holding you back. At the moment you cant get your weight much further back than the bb and when you're on the rear wheel your arms are almost going up to the bars! A shorter stem will make it sooooo much more comfortable to ride and you'll find yourself progressing a lot faster!
  8. went out with the camera Local stream I have plenty more but I dont have photoshop to re-size them and tiny pic seems to be shitting the bed EDIT: it seems to be sideways too, I suck.
  9. haha, yeah, I heard a stable bike is good for skateparks But yeah, it may have felt nervous but it would be better for tricks rather than straight line stability. I don't think I find +20mm high on my hex, I would be quite happy to take that dirt jumping.
  10. or you can stress the wheel after like normal which is faster and does a better job (I stamp on the spokes)
  11. Mark put some LGMs on his new bike and they were pretty ridiculous. I have put a vee on one of my bikes and popped on some Baelays, that's pretty ridiculous too.
  12. not bad riding at all, editing seems good too, but I can't help but think the length of that bike is holding him back a bit.
  13. nitro moors will remove lacquer
  14. Hope hoops are pretty dam good! pretty light, very strong, very cheap and very well built.
  15. might make it hard getting even spoke tension as the spokes with the heads on the outside are slightly closer to the rim and would ideally need to be a mil or two shorter.
  16. my parents car said it was -16 here the other night, the river (and waterfall) is frozen, never seen that happen before. I want to go out with my camera tomorrow and take some pics of ice.
  17. Cut the hose shorter, buy a new olive and re-fit then finish your English homework
  18. spreading the dropouts by a couple of mill won't brake it, being a harsh rider and landing stuff sideways will (a usual trait of profile owners).
  19. as someone already said, it has vertical dropouts, so that's not an option. Personally, I would be filing the magura mount slots a bit bigger and possibly a bit off the frame mounts to allow a bit more vertical movement of the clamps.
  20. its alloy, you can tell by the massive welds
  21. Alu will oxidize if left untreated, best get some lacquer on to be sure.
  22. I always build radial with the heads on the inside and shoulders on the outside, the theory being that the spokes make a wider based triangle and makes a stiffer wheel, but either way works fine.
