    Gap Help

watch vids of Stan shaw, he has one of the best gap techniques I have seen. He doesn't go at a silly angle (that seems to be the fashionable thing to do for TGS kids). Just get the back wheel right on the edge (maybe try getting your weight further forwards), preload like you are sitting on the rear tyre, full effort on the pedal kick, the faster you can accelerate the further you will go. Don't worry about getting hight, the higher you go the more energy is wasted (stans back wheel often goes below the two walls he is gapping between). the important bit is the last third of the move, in the vid you don't thrust the rear wheel to the landing, this is vital, it may feel like you are coming up short, but put in the last effort and you'll be surpised what difference it makes at the 6 min mark, that is 9ft between the walls, to go to the back of the bench is nuts.
  3. the forks wouldn't make vee brakes more powerful, they just are generally.
  4. such a nice style, he actually rolls the bike rather than being static on the brakes all the time. on the mod he looks too big I think.
  5. the 4 bolt mounts on these forks scare me, unless they have actually used the material to it's full potential and ramped up the thickness where 4 bolt forks always snap then I can't see them lasting long. This would definitely be a fork that could benefit from having vee mounts on, stronger and a lighter more powerful brake, win win win.
  6. you must be pretty drunk as everyone knows he is the true master of stock
  7. stick with the Zoot, you will become a better (allround) rider because of it, rather than having a bike like a pogostick that is only good for a hand full of moves.
  8. nice attitude. Unfortunately when sending out hundreds of orders a day small things can get missed, in a case like this the lever is checked to see if it's the right colour and type as it's the manufactures responsibility to supply items with all the parts, to unwrap every single part to make sure that something that 99.9% of times is there is just impossible. This is assuming this is the issue as I don't know both sides of the story. They also get hundreds of emails a day and were a staff member short today, you will get an answer soon though.
  9. 10,000km (6,000 miles ish), Japan
  10. Danni is a classic example of someone who looks a million times better on stock.
  11. Mods are for kids or short people.

    Road Cycling

to make the rear end more forgiving over bumps, the roads up north are pretty shocking (plus I think it looks better).
  13. pretty much all went down hill when Fred Savage got his foot in the door with the UCI folks.
  14. won't be so bad for a steel frame, put a booster on if you want the brake to be stiffer.
  15. I thought it was Kenny bealey? Seeing as Addidas is a big sponsor of his.
  16. These are my other bikes, unfortunately I am having to sell them due to lack of room. my jump bike, Simtra Psycho, Rockshox Pikes, shimano SLX cranks, hope hoops, Azonic bars etc (needs seat clamp) my WTP 2009 trust, bit battered and rides like shit compared with Mark's super sorted BMX. my super pimped racing BMX. Koxx expert frame (drilled headtube, annodised, drilled bb shell, dropouts and seat stay bridge) Old XTR cranks annodised black, GU rear trials hub, superstar race bars and forks, cut down ti axled MG1 pedals, Onza Ronnie rims, Kenda Small Block 8 tyres. I had this thing down to the mid 7kg area when it hada lighter headset and stuff on, accelerates sooo fast! My old roady get around bike. got the frame/fork/bar/stem/headset for around £20. The built in seat clamp was cracked so I just filed it off and used a normal seat clamp. I have it as asingle speed as I didn't want to spend much on this bike at all, I paid for some posh wheels (still under £200 for the pair) but the rest was stuff I mostly already had (the cranks were the originals off my race bmx).
  17. here is mine, best roady type bike I have ever ridden! here
  18. I wouldn't hold your breath, only two people know where those banks are and I am pretty sure neither of them are going to be around. Plus it's heavy rain in London on sunday. the Blog, I love it. it oozes character and style. Keep it up.
  19. I am pretty sure you do have the strongest finger of anyone I know. but yeah, extra points for the flailing crank multi combo shin hits though. Also, was that my old rear rim??
  20. hmm, not a great mechanical advantage then (compared with the mono trials at least) unless the pads are something special I can't imagine it being powerful at all.
  21. Danni is the only person who can backhop with the front wheel an inch off the ground!
