  1. Riders were: Ben (why does it always rain on me) Travis Duncan Shaw Nick goddard Ross McArthur Jack Meek and Myself. The show is INCREDIBLY cheesey, but it's for charity, so it's OK....I think
  2. as I said, get a streety bike, once you put on some low profile tyres and pump them up a bit, trials gearing is still good enough to get plenty of speed and if you take the brakes off the feeling of speed is improved further.
  3. you should deffo look into getting a streetier bike either 24" or 26" and try brakesless too, that will put the fun back into riding
  4. tried both and the TNNs were better, the heatsinks didn't have the hold I would get with the TNNs
  5. I found the SD7s to be far the best, they are comfy and have the speed dial adjustment which is dead handy
  6. if you got some profiles you could get a slightly longer axle and use some "no boss" 22t sprockets, will be very strong, very stiff and not all that heavy either.
  7. tan wall tyres = win! VERY nice bike!
  8. no, due to the way the pads get "sucked" into the rim. with the pads being slightly behind the arms of the brake the pads get pulled into the rim with forwards motion and pushed away from the rim with backwards motion. this is why they don't have that much bite on the rear wheel, but have a ton of hold.

    Jack Carthy

looks like all that time in the sunbed is paying off! Narr joking aside, Jack is seriously impressive! I can't believe I am nearly double his age , lets hope he doesn't get bored and continues to kick ass when he's old enough to compete with the big boys.
  11. yeah that was what I found with front fees, a rear mounted one wont seem as powerful as a front mounted one hence my comment above.
  12. though not quite as good as a front mounted vee.
  13. matt was waiting....so was I....so you should have ended the wait with the official ending a wait dots..... I'll get my coat..
  14. I did go to the gym for one winter a few years ago, not sure if it made any difference. I also had some weights at home, but I only used them when I injured my ankle to stay fit. I don't go to the gym these days.
  15. I am a firm believer that technique is better than raw power, riding should always be more important than going to the gym, save it for a rainy day.

    "I'm not that grumpy!"
  17. I would need a lot of practice! I can't ride long bikes now after being on my Inspired for so long, I think I may do better on my inspired with a slightly lighter spec and grippier tyres than I would a pure comp bike. I am not ruling out comps, but for me right now, it's not the place to be. cheers for answering my questions Andee Dave.......... meh. (sorry to dig this up, I have been away filming in London since Thursday (check out "Sing if you can" on Sat at 7.20pm ITV1 to see some incredibly cheezy stuff))
  18. hs33 has no advantage over front vee. a vee is: Lighter more powerful easier to adjust easier to pull pads last longer pads are easier to change can get spares from supermarkets vee forks don't crack as easily as maggie forks no cross-overs to break so yeah, why people still use front maguras is beyond me

wow! Firstly thanks for the comments about my riding! It makes me want to go and push myself more. Secondly, forgetting that Mark is my friend and neighbour, that video is possibly one of the best edited vids I have seen for a LONG time! The music was perfect, the timing with the riders was perfect, the whole vibe was spot on! Thanks for taking the time to film and edit Mark, it was well worth it!
  20. before it closes can you answer my questions a few pages back?
