  1. as much as I would like to keep it, I think I would return it, £150,000 is a lot of money, people will notice that you are living a more luxurious life than you were before, if you put it in the bank people will ask questions, if you keep it as cash then you are taking risks by walking round with large amounts to pay for stuff plus it looks suspicious. Then there is the CCTV, not knowing if the police are on to you, I think I would get pretty paranoid.
  2. Ironic Cheers for the get well comments, it was god to get out and about yesterday even if my arms are now pretty sore! Spotted some cool lines to ride once I am better though
  3. haha, I am a weight weenie, but a sensible one. Hopes are pretty much the most reliable hub available, so it would be nice to save a little weight without sacrificing that.
  4. Deores are fine, but I used LX, best arms I have used.
  5. They were Global titanium forks, the most flexy forks I have ever experienced! Gave them back to Global soon after the pic was taken.

    Echo Hifi

still officially the worst frame I have ever owned. however, I am glad you like it and it's good to see you are with bike again!
  7. another vote for the bearings, my sets I have had always ended up having notchy bearings which made the brakes impossible to hit the rim at the same time, it is also the reason I wouldn't use those brakes on a trials bike.

    Smoothness

smoothness is one of the most important things.
  9. why wouldn't it be real? It's not like it's an impossible move. It maybe looks a bit funny but that's just the lens and don't forget Kenny is just about the best rider on the planet.
  10. a harder gear will make fakie stuff a little easier and better looking too, just something to consider.

    24" Riders!

if you have 24" wheels, you can't really have a screw-on freewheel on the rear, all the reliable freewheels are 18t and you would need a massive cog on the front to make that into a usable ratio. Stick with a Hope or a King for street.
  12. I feel sorry for the retailers, this is gonna be a pain in the arse for them! It does amuse me that koxx had some of the most reliable forks out, but then decided that everyone likes light weight stuff that breaks, so made some forks that do exactly that. Suckers. Oh yeah, they spelt "campaign" wrong
  13. in Tricks and Stunts he was using just a standard Zaskar, but GT did bring out a Hans frame, possibly the same frame that was also sold as a Lopes sig frame too.
  14. I agree. Dave at Inspired seemed keen as well, hopefully he'll push for it to be made.

    Road Cycling

45mins doesn't sound un-reasonable. I used to do a 22mile lap that went up Cragg Vale road (longest un-interrupted gradient in England) in about an hour on my singlespeed roady.
  16. that's what I told them, they thought it was a good idea, weather they do it is another matter.
  17. I think European comp riders gave up on trying to be cool years ago, you can't even pretend to be cool if you wear tights
  18. technically you are doing it wrong. The "correct" way is to ride along pop a little hop onto the front wheel and at the same time remove your front foot and before you have put it on the tyre kick the frame around with the back foot, this will get the frame out of the way and make the front tyre easier to stand on. Watch the pedals coming around and as the bike is coming back jump off the tyre and aim your feet on the pedals. here's a vid
  19. beast riding! it's been a while since I last saw you and it doesn't look like you are slowing down at all That ankle roll made me feel unwell, I hope you get better soon!
  20. you missed the point, you don't want a harsh grind nor d oyou want a grind that's been smoothed over, you want a fresh light grind, even the Viz rim can do those.
  21. you do have a way to slow down, either look where you are going and use the environment to slow down, do kick-outs (skidding the rear wheel out sideways), feet on the floor, feel on the tyres.
  22. sounds like your grind is too harsh, TNN pads are best on a nice light grind, then they almost work like tar.
  23. I would definitely be using steel in that situation.
