  1. are the conical washers on in the right order? They should be in this order (though you can swap the thick and thin ones depending on how wide the rim is). If they are in the correct positions, then sometimes it takes trial and error, you may have to over compensate when setting up the pads so that when you tighten them, they move into the correct position. I always set up my pads one arm at a time just by holding the arm and pad against the rim to initially set the position and tightness (without the spring attached, just makes life easier), then connected the brake and pulling hard tightened the pads (this stopped them from rotating so I could get the pad nice and tight).
  2. if that seat is getting in the way then you are doing it wrong Plus cutting it off will save hardly any room.
  3. I used one for a full season of demos, doing 10ft drops, flips and 360s and it's still going strong on another one of my bikes now.
  4. steer cear of the clarks brakes, they are pretty poor quaility, of 10 sets I tried to set up, 7 of them had sticky pistons and wouldnt come lose again.
  5. its a home made jobbie, pretty sweet too!
  6. That's a photo of Stan's bike, and Stan's bike is the one with a carbon top tube not Duncan's. Duncan's is also the Echo Trial, not the Echo Pure... Fingers crossed it turns up though!

    Best Horror?

I am useless when it comes horror, I get scared by anything so my experience of horror films isn't quite up there with other people, but the scariest film I have ever seen is "The Grudge", had my eyes shut through mos of that.
  10. not sure if it actually classes as a job, but my main income if from riding bikes...which is nice. aged 27.
  11. it's actually around the same weight as normal cranks, bb, sprocket and bash, maybe ~100g difference at most.

  14. you wern't kidding when you said he had the new hight record on the wave wall!
  15. Whatever you need so your chain's tight. That'll depend on your gear ratio, frame, chain age, etc...
  16. There's only really one way it can go on. The best way is to rotate the long arm up as close to the chainstay as possible, then tighten the main bolt. Once you've done that, loosen the little 4mm bolt on the end of the arm and adjust the sprung arm (which is what gives you the tension). Pretty much all there is to it! Not having a pin is a good thing as it allows you to get it a lot more compact and neater.
  17. Duffs came today, I am seriously impressed (with the limited use I have of my feet at the moment) seem on par with my 5-10s on grip!
  18. looking good Ben! Nice pics and write up. How was that drop?
  19. Have you ever heard the phrase "the king is dead, long live the king"? It means the old king has died and the new one takes over the throne and runs things in his own style. this can be used for other things, like "trials is dead" In that context it means the older type of trials is dead, but the new type is here and is equally as good, just in a slightly different way. I am sure someone could explain it better, but the name "trials is dead" doesn't littorally mean trials is down the shitter.
  20. You do know what that actually means though right?
  21. The unfortunate trait of a lot of TGS riders.
