  1. yeah, did that drop count? Same with Brett's rail attempts?
  2. very fast 8 mins! the best vids always seem to go quickly. I usually don't like lots of slow mo, but I'll make an exception for this, its quite interesting seeing what goes on, stuff you normally miss. Locations were pretty sweet too, that first island looks pretty epic! Danny got off lightly on that drop, I remember him telling me about it, pretty much exactly what I did except instead of my hand coming off, my foot did and I ended up breaking it, I think he hurt a little after it, but yeah, very lucky!
  3. some people don't like riding with 20" wheels, are you going to go brakeless?
  4. I like the idea of a reinforced toe box and padding under the heal, hopefully they havn't made the sole too thick and take away some some of the feel. I would have liked to have seen the cuffs raised to prevent cranks taking chunks of ankle out too. Not a huge fan of the looks, but they do look better than most of the other range.
  5. I was actually when you did that sidehop in Bristol! You sure do have some great control, the lines are not small either, very impressed! I am going to be a bum now, I think you should work through the fear factor when it comes to my advice, perhaps try tilting the bars back a little, that usually helps? Bunnyhopping into stuff is the only improvement I think your riding could do with, it kinda looks weird pedal hopping into spins and across gaps. But yeah, seriously impressive!
  6. Iolo and myself did it (well, Iolo did, I just tagged along for the ride). Worked pretty well, though the chain did fall off a few times and the kart was so small it was hard to actually fit on (plus it tended to roll quite easily).
  7. that because he spends more time in the gym than riding it Just messing, great riding and photos, keep it up!
  8. comp dads will still buy them though
  9. only £500 more expensive than the Kamel for a carbon frame? The Kamel was £2500 when they were first out and considering that frame isn't that great materials or quality wise I would be amazed if it is under £3000
  10. thank god they listened to me then
  11. pretty much what Rowan said.

    Gcse's!

I don't like how the culture in the UK almost expects everyone to go on to uni and stuff. Some people just are not the type to pursue an academic path and would be better off doing important jobs that don't require degrees (and the huge debts that come with them). The fact that is is expected of most people to go to uni makes the people that don't go get seen as "lesser" people or such.

    Gcse's!

I did go onto collage and have qualifications in graphic design, but I now know that I really don't want to be a graphic designer. My sister has a PHD in Sudanese history, that sure does help her garden landscaping business

    Gcse's!

I left school for health reasons and just never took them, it didn't stop me from going to college and getting jobs so it's all good.

    Gcse's!

I didn't take any, never caused me any issues so far.
  17. everyone seems to love Mark's bike with a 70x25 Hope stem and Trialtech high rise bars. bunnyhops like a dream and doesn't feel like steering an xc bike when cornering.
  18. to pay the bills at home? Buy food? If your business just makes it even, other than pleasing trials riders what would the point be?
  19. I have used them with no problems. Mine were the older thicker ones though, the uber thin xc ones are not up to it.
  20. bit of an odd thing to say, even if you are joking.
  21. classic Nick. Nice riding guys, I really want to ride Portsmouth again!
  22. narr, it's just mods I don't like
  23. lol, not sure why I wouldn't like it, 22" wheels does seem like a great size, I would love to try a bike with 22" wheels! The only issues are lack of rims and tires, plus it would be nice to have a frame with geo meant for that size, but no harm in experimenting.
  24. not enough, Rockman seem to charge a high trade price on their stuff which eats into any profits as it would be unfair to charge the "correct" price on a lot of their stuff. Margins on trials stuff is pretty crap in general, especially compared with other industries and even normal MTB stuff.
  25. Those sound like maintenance issues to me. Can't say I found them any flexier than other cranks either.
