  1. That's an example, not really showing the best stuff, but it gives a feel for the series, super fisheye, random interviews, range of musics, larking about, riding bikes.
  2. haha, yeah I guess I didn't consider their clothes as advertising, but you are completely right. see if you can find Sprung 3, they are all pretty old school, but that one I remember being the best.
  3. I have never named any object I have owned
  4. all wearing the same power ranger style clothes The impression I got from it was that they were going out to "train" rather than "ride" which is fair enough if you are racing, but I just don't like that image.
  5. to spin goofy would be to spin towards your leading foot. I am right foot forward so if I span to my right it would be goofy. Trials tends to give some really bad habits if you ever swap to bmx or street, it's very common to see people spin goof, tuck to the "wrong" side when hopping (I have had to re-learn bunnyhops with tucks to the other side). It's also very common to see people relying on pedal jabs to get spins rather than actually hopping. Not saying Carl does all of those and even if he did, it's not the end of the world if he carried on doing it.
  6. hmmm, downhill videos don't really do it for me like they once did. I enjoy riding downhill very much, but watching it....no thanks. Actually, I do enjoy watching world cup footage, it almost seems like they have a reason to go fast then rather than going out and trying to be fast for no reason (bad wording, but I can't think of a better way of saying it). Bring back Sprung, they are the best type of DH vids ever made, they show all the fun that's to be had, all the larking about in the pits, getting drunk, falling off motorbikes. That's my type of DH vid.
  7. ah sweet, cheers for that I know what you mean about kick hop 180s, I still find it easier to do that goofy too
  8. I ignore all the topics that are repeats. I do get a little annoyed though when I put my opinion across and then everyone labels me as negative. I post positive stuff too, but people tend to ignore that when it comes time to insult me. I think I am also labelled as negative because when I do post something that isn't positive, people jump on board to argue with me, all the dicks come out and join in, it turns to a multi page argument that I am in the middle of. that tends to get more attention than say when I post a comment about a sweet vid I liked.
  9. To make it clear, I know you were not slagging him off, I was just poking a little fun (trying to emphasize this with some light humour and a smiley). Your wording was perhaps not best though.
  10. Always wondered if anyone could gap across that ditch at the playhouse, now I know. Yet another fan of the sidehop to pivot on the rail, very stylish.

    What A Legend!

To quote Martyn....."I am not that grumpy!" But yeah, I think you need to go and find out how arguments work. I wasn't argumentative, you came on spouting shit, I replied, you replied with more shit, I challenged you.....as much as I don't want to sound like a small child, you started it. My first reply wasn't totally slagging it off, I said he's good at spins, I said the 2nd song was good and I said if he's enjoying it then that's fine. Dave, find any video where I have told a kid he's shit? I try to hardly ever talk down the skill level of a rider unless it's to give them a helpful tip. I know as much as anyone what it's like when you are learning (heck, I still am now) and I know it would be a real kick in the teeth to have someone slag your riding off.
  12. Nice sly dig haha Anyway, that was pretty sweet Carl, brakeless is tough so you get plenty of respect from me, you are riding it well! That tree ride crash was harsh! The actual line is amazing though, you need to get it done. The only things I didn't like was everything in slow mo, it has it's place, but I would have liked to have seen a couple of normal clips, but it's not the end of the world, I still enjoyed it. Also, it may be worth learning to spin regular rather than goofy, it will just help loads when it comes to linking things together. Can you show me around Leeds one day? I have always wanted to ride at some of those spots but never known where they are.

    What A Legend!

neither was mine, you're point being? That was a question if you were wondering.

    What A Legend!

it would be a very boring world if everybody liked everything. Just because "he's a legend" doesn't mean I can't be honest about what I think. I thought that vid was pretty cringe worthy. I liked and commented as such on Savages video, it doesn't have to be all spinny to be good. As long as the riding has flow, good style and interesting moves, I'll enjoy any video.

    Is This For Real?

that video doesn't really show it well, but from photos and other vids I have seen it very much looks like they are harnessed on. Considering it looks like a lot of money has been spent on the vid (especially with the use of helicopters) I am surprised it only has 9000 views.
  16. I liked everything about that, you are definitely one of my fave riders!
  17. I think I'll join in just for the laugh, I fancy some sort of pirate look
  18. you can shave, but just not the moustache
  19. I have been riding for nearly 16 years and it's aways been about the fun. I used to enjoy comps and the challenge they gave, now I enjoy going a little faster and riding in a different way. The change from comps to street is pretty big. The enjoyment of being good didn't really come into action because my street riding wasn't great when I first swapped, so if I only rode because I enjoyed being good I would have shot myself in the foot and never changed in the first place. The same thing happened when I went brakeless, I was really crap for a few weeks, but I enjoyed it more than ever. I think the conclusion is I enjoy the challenges riding puts forwards and overcoming them is a great feeling. I have plenty more I want to learn so I can see me enjoying it for a while longer.
  20. haha, say that to my mum, she's had enough of Yorkshire folk and is one of the main reasons she's moving to Scotland
  21. Funny thing is, I am appalling at arguing. After how this thread has turned out and people have shown their true colours, I think there was plenty of need to post what I did.
