I see people donāt like the idea of him being able to sit down and talk with people like Putin, I see it more of keeping your friends close but your enemies closer situation. Id rather have someone on friendlier terms with dangerous leaders who might have more ability to calm situations down than a leader that tries to fight fire with fire. I also think the Russia/Ukraine situation is more complex that it might appear with Zelenskyy not being a total angel himself (though I have to say Putin is absolutely a jerk and extremely dangerous no question about that). Hopefully Trumps boasts about being able to stop the war quickly isnāt just hot air, I do think heās in a better position than Harris to make it work purely because of his better ārelationshipā with Putin, I guess weāll soon see

Itās a sign that people have had enough of āwokenessā, itās reassuring that thereās still some common sense left in the world. Weāll have to see if thereās increased tariffs which I agree isnāt ideal but I think thatās better than having the democrats in control over thereā¦their behaviour has been really concerning to me.

Not gonna lie, Iām quite relieved Trump won the election.

Have you tried a blowtorch? a quick blast to burn off any contaminants should help. Youāre not wanting to get it red hot or anything, I like to look closely and watch for an evaporating effect, it happens pretty quickly and you can just follow it around the rotor, you donāt need to take it off the bike or anything. I donāt think you neeed to do both sides but I often give the other side a lighter blast trying my best to avoid the spokes. Hope that helps!

With a new disc it doesnāt really matter the thickness as theyāll both have a sharp corner but a thinner one will keep its edge better for future grinds. both steel or stone will work but I find a steel one gives a slightly more consistent light grind. Iāve never used an adjustable speed grinder, a cheap one that goes fast will be fine. No, youāre uncovering fresh new metal so itās ready to go. No, if the grind is still fresh and working well then you wonāt need to redo it for different pads.

Not worth it in my opinion, the internal bore size on the fittings is quite small which takes more effort to push fluid through, your brakes will feel like theyāre bled with syrup if you use magura fluid and even if you use water itāll never feel as good as standard hose

I think people are just angry, the working class especially so. Itās been years of budgets getting tighter, money going less distance and thereās generally a bleak mindset for the future. That combined with rich politicians seemingly mocking them has turned the anger up higherā¦itās been a pressure cooker and didnāt need much to make it explode. The recent knife attacks (not just the girls), Manchester airport fight and the seemingly unfair use of benefits on immigrants was just the straw that broke the camels back. Sadly rioting is the only way they think they can be heard, even sadder is the racists taking advantage to steer the mobs towards mosques and Asian businesses. I donāt feel the majority of the rioters are really āfar rightā as the media say (though Iām sure some of them are), I think these are just your average working class folk who feel like theyāre being ignored and forgotten about. Im concerned about the ripple effect of this, making racial tensions higher, giving the government more power to make strict laws etc but Iām also concerned by how the media are using specific wording with these eventsā¦Iām genuinely thinking that there is an overall plan to divide the country and make a āus vs thenā narrative. It feels like weāre in a civil war but we just donāt know it yet.

Iāll wear a head cam next time so he canāt stand and block the view š Donāt be sorry, it was completely my choiceā¦they wanted to continue

Iāve been frustrated by some of the responses from the left turning this about them and playing the victims. feel how you want about Trump but I dunnoā¦not everything needs to be about you. Itās quite alright to just say this was a nasty thing to happen and not lean your agendas into it.

Kennedy seems half decent too. Iām pleased that the world is finally accepting that Biden really isnāt healthy enough to be President, heās been showing senile tendencies for years yet the media and his followers never seemed to want to talk about it. Not a huge trump fan but I do think heās the better out of those twoā¦Southpark nailed it years and years ago with their giant douche and turd sandwich episode

I wouldāve gone for the Hopes if my intentions were to sell them then buy something good instead š

Out of those it would be the Lewis for me if Iām purely looking for a brake that works well

im not convinced, personally I always tie my shoes as tight as I can because I canāt stand any movement of my feet inside my shoe/on my pedal. I feel a floating pedal might feel similar to a less-tight shoe and take away some of the feel and feedback

Iāve dabbled with brakeless nose manuals but never got them dialled. My front wheel action is purely a stoppie

Iāve recently been doing some more diy adaptors, these were made with a drill, hacksaw and file and I like the idea of the adaptor extending down the inside of the mountsā¦this way itās slightly braced against the frame taking a tiny bit of pressure off the bolts (in theory at least) but it also adds a lot of strength and stiffness in a high stress area (I hope). gonna speak with someone about bringing these to market IMG_8673.mov IMG_8623.dng IMG_8624.dng

Canāt comment directly about your case but I also had a wheel with a similar issue recently. I was fixing a wheel with a snapped hub flange, got a new hub and spokes and had planned on reusing the alloy nipplesā¦weirdly they would thread in by hand the first few turns but just bind up after thatā¦I tried forcing one but it actually snapped the spoke! I wasnāt aware spoke threads came in different pitches but thatās the only explanation I can think of. So yeah, best avoid forcing things, using the sapim nipples would be best but I canāt advise it that work with your rim or not (if it was my wheel Iād try it but its a tricky one when itās someone elseās).

My turbolito tube lasted 20 mins the valve randomly snappedā¦maybe there was some twisting forces going on or somethingā¦if they do a metal one then thatās what Iād go for

I spent ages looking at different vans even doing polls on social mediaā¦I was expecting one model to come out on top but surprisingly there was equal amount of love and horror stories for the Transporter, Custom and Trafic. In the end I went for a Trafic as theyāre galvanized so should resist rusting, have dependable engines and a decent loading area. I donāt think theyāre the best looking but they are a lot cheaper than VWs. Iāve literally just had mine converted by The Ply Guys (Iām still sat in their office) and couldnāt be happier with the results. IMG_7738.dng IMG_7739.dng

I think weāre quite far apart in what our expectations and execution are for this concept

Iām talking about having the rear triangle acting like a spring when compressed, something along the lines of a leaf spring like the Lauf concepts (but obviously in a trials shape), youād have it so stiff you wouldnāt notice it when hopping normally but when preloading it would be possible to compress it and use the rebound to hop higher. The Crewkerz looks like it has one of the stiffest rear triangles out there!

My 2 cents. ebikes: I canāt see this being a thing for comp style trials, maybe better suited to oldschool hill climbs but the extra weight would hinder the size of moves more than the advantage of extra power would help them in my opinion. disc brakes: never gonna happen for 26ā comp trials, the extra weight, exposed fragile disc and spoke flex are way more of a handicap than the occasional rim grind. geo: not too sure if weāll see that much change here but I am curious to test a frame with a much steeper head angle than current bikes have and combined it with a short stem (kinda like your idea but keep the wheelbase the same). Longer wheelbases might help with a couple of moves but it would compromise others, current wheelbase measurements are a decent middle ground. I do think having a shorter stem could make things like hanging hooks easier though as thereās less leverage in the stem wanting to twist whilst your weight is on it. Current bikes with their long stems put the bars so far out in front the bikes effectively have a 90 degree head angle anyway. tech: the biggest advancement I can see helping with comp trials is utilizing flex in frames to act like a spring and increasing height of moves. Frames are like pole vaulting with a stiff pole, imagine if you could preload the frame like you do with your tyre (and a pole in vaulting) and use that energy in a gap or sidehopā¦Iāve absolutely no doubt this will be the future but itāll take a lot of cost and development to make it work

It would need a slight revision before itās ready to be used fully, I think I canāt get these to work but it wouldnāt be possible to sell them as-is

Another vote for making your own, I made some with nothing more than a hacksaw, vice, drill and tap. i tried a few designs and even 3D printed some other ideas until I found one that seemed to work really well. The shape wasnāt ideal to machine though so Euan Beadon helped adjust the design slightly and then machined a batch for me (thanks Euan!), annoyingly even though everything worked well in the 3D print there were some clearance issues with the alloy ones, a spacer under the post would fix it but I havenāt gotten round to doing that yet.
