nah you dont need a reicept, just take them to any magura dealer (most good LBS), with all of the bits, brackets, bolts the lot, and they will send them back to magura, they will fix em for you and send em back. when i sent mine back because or leaky masters and slave cylinders on both brakes (thats the levers and the pot bit on the back) i ended up with brand new levers, and a new slave cylinder on each brake, i also had a brand new sets of pads with them too, this was all free. it took just under 2 weeks for them to come back. i thought what good service that was. the only thing is, i not sure if theyll do it if it has been bled with anything else other than magura blood, or something similar, for example water, WD40. they may do i not sure. hope that helped.

If its the bolts holding your bash on, i wouldn't bother helicoiling it, i would just get it drilled out and re-tapped to the next size up. any local engineering place could do it for you.

I run a UN53, and i measured it when i put it in, im pretty sure that it is 127.5mm (i measured it with a vernier caliper, not a ruler, so its an accurate measurement.) its a good bb anyway :turned:
-
too right! :- I totally agree with this, i run the 2.5 super tacky and its great, no pinch flats nothing, although i do run a hutchinson downhill innertube in the rear, but thats not the point, its a great tyre and grips to pretty much anything (accept for mine because its that worn out its more like a slick lol, not good in the mud) but when new they are great.

i wouldn't have thought so, the best way to do it would be to go out and buy a tool, then you can do it again and againw ith out fooking your crank or bb up. thats what ive done. when i need a special tool, ive bought one. (well the most common ones anyway.)

yeh, the bikes are geared up alot, so it takes alot of force on the pedals to get them going, but as the riders have stupidly strong legs, they find it ok pedal, but there is still alot of force going through it. not sure if i explained that too well (Y) ...

id have thought it must be something to do with your rim flexing. I dont think it could be the tyre as the try-all tyres are 2.5, and they are designed for the bike. so like i said, it wont be your tyre. I also wouldn't have thought it to be your cones/axle in your wheel, as there wouldn't be that much play in them, if there is then your wheel bearings need tightenning, but i dont think that this is the answer. hope that helped,

ive had a quick look around, and i not found anywhere, but i bet if you rng magura up, theyll send you one, you may have to pay though. if not try supercycles or somewhee like that. they may have one in the back on the shelves or somert.

i didn't know that a 16 year old could have a visa or switch card.
-
well i would have thought the bearings would have come out as they were not in a sealed bearing race, they just fit loose into bearing cups.

i have these alpinestars ones, i got them from a local motorbike shop. theyve got think leather pads on your palms below your little fingers so that they dont rip. i think they were £32 they are comfey and really warm :ermm:

i sorted it now, there was a bearing cup with a left hand thread on it that had to be screwed out, then freehub body/lots of little bearings just came straight off. Its all re-built etc now. the only thing i was unsure of, is the hub freehub ment to be run with or without grease, i put molybdenum grease in there. thanks alot for the help, luke

top article :) its true, when im out on my bike (well until it broke) and we saw other trials riders, you end up talking, then going out riding and everything. most riders are pretty friendly, ok you can get the odd idiot, but so what, ou can eerywhere.
-
Hi, i have noticed that when i go to do anything, i get a really horrible grinding noise that feels and sounds like it is coming from the freehub. at first though i thought it was the bb was lose as id only jus fitted it that day (with new cranks), so i tightened that up and it still does it. from ding that it was obviously the freehub as nothing ese woulld make it do that. .: i need a new freehub. can somebody please tell me how to remove it. I took out the bearings just to give me some more space to see what im doing, and on one of the inside the hub on the circumfrence of the bearing cup there are 2 slots 5mm in width, they are also opposite each other. Is this the cup i have to remove to get the feeehub off. if not, how do i do it. the hub is an onza hub that came with my t-raptor. please dont suggest getting a new hub/wheel eg a chris king or profile, hope etc, because i cant afford a new wheel, so thats not an option at the moment. the reason why im fixing it myself is that i cant afford to take it to a shop. thanks alot luke j

No i dont think you can, maguras are designed for mineral oil, not dot, so what you can do, just go down to yur local car shop and buy either mineral oil or alot of people use citoren suspension oil. I not sure why you cant use dot, i kow that when a car place put the wrong stuff in someones car i know, all of the seals/rubbers in the system had to be replaced. and as it was an old classic rolls royce it was abit expensie.

can i just say one thing, people towward the beginning of the topic were saying tht its their upbringing, that is why they are scummy. Alls i was thinking is, when a chav nicks your bike or kicks your head in, are you supposed to feel sorry for him because he has had a bad upbringing. no, alls you wanna do is kick his ass and all of his scummy mates. That just my opinion onthe matter.

I dont minding in bad weather to be honest, the only prob is my bike has been broken so i not been able to go riding for about 7 weeks now. Im starting t get a littlefrustrated. i would have had it fixed earlier but as i not had any money, well i was a bit jiggered when it came to buying my new cranks.
-
yeh i remember when it all clicked for me, well pulse hopping etc. it was great it just came one weekend. it was very strange especially when youve been tring for ages to do them.
-
to be honest. i thin the frame looks jigered up, i dont really know out handle bars and stem, and the shoes, well. i thin its best that i dont comment.
-
how mush are the new zoo cranks because people on here told me that they were £70, but when i emailed somebody about them they said they were £109. so what price are they. also where is the best place to get them from.
-
I in some ways feel the same way but its generally because i spend money on my bike and it still breaks. I do look after it but somert always goes wrong. I not ridden properly for about 6 weeks now and im getting frustrated. but because i enjoy it so much when im out im not going to let these set backs ruinit for me!
-
ah so thats how it works, thats cleared it up for me, thanks.
-
it would probably be easier and take more weight off to remove the stickers from your frame. somebody said somert about making your frame air tight and putting helium in the frame, well there is a frame from syntace that has a valve on its downtube so that yuou can put air in the frame to ''tune te feel'' syntace trials frame

yep, found them all on the net.
