so the anodised finish just dissolves off? im no chemist, so what other finishes will it take off? thanks, Andrew
-
as i'm at uni at the moment, the caustic soda option probably isnt the most sensible! so i might try the sanding option. anyone done this before? Andrew

ive got a pair of monty cranks that aren't looking too clever these days, the finish is rubbing off, so some bits are black, others a greeny colour where its rubbing off and alloy where its completely rubbed off. so i want to strip them completely, whats the easiest way to do this? any help is really appreciated Andrew

Some awesome pics there chris, reminds me of a really good day! top comp. Do you have those pics of that gap i did? A high res version would be ace as well? Andrew -
are u seriously bored boumsong? And if ur talking about rolling gaps, then cesar canas does a bloody huge one from the roof of one coach to another in Biketrial Psycho, mental! Andrew

I'll hopefully be there after a whole year out of comps! so i'll be really rusty, but should be fun. Andrew

frame only mate, but some frames cost that much anyway, as for waiting time, 3 months maybe. Andrew
-
i would deffinately recommend a leeson 24" i know they're £400 new and theres a waiting list, but its definatley worth it, try and get 1 second hand Andrew

Wow! you were in loughborough, if i'd had know i would have come out. Where were u riding? Ive only been here 5 weeks so i dont know all the riding spots. I was riding the other night on campus and got told off 3 times in half and hour! bloody security, they wont even let u sit on ur bike! Andrew EDIT: lol just read the topic title, thats where u were! good pics by the way.

Hello, as the title says, does anyone know the bearing codes for a 19" rear tryall fixed hub? Also, likewise for hope headset, the old model, but i dont suppose there's any difference. Yes, u'll probably tell me to go and look on the seal, but thats not possile at this moment in time and i want to get some ordered from BSL, so if someone with either of these components could tell me that would be great! Any help is really apprciated!! thanks, Andrew.

Improved Balance Whilst Rolling As Opposed To Standing Still?
walker replied to Krisboats's topic in Trials Chat
ive done physics at a level, but i cant really explain all this momentum stuff. i once saw a video of these astronauts in zero gravity, they cant travel anywhere inside their shuttle unless they push off something, newtons laws. but they can turn their body around on the spot by doing some queer arm movements, like turn their body 360 without touching anything else, can anyone spread any light on this? Just a thought about balancing on the spot. Trials motorbikes have a spinning flywheel inside them, so this should make them easier to balance on the spot, ill try it next time im on mine, with the engine off and running, see if it makes a difference. Maybe you could have a little wheel in the mille of your trials frame that spins when u kick ur pedals, but keeps going, giveing u stability when you're stood still, i know it would add a fair bit of weight, as it would need to be fairly hefty to have a significant effect, but its just a thought! that sounds more like it, i hear many people say, "dont get this part, my mate has broken one within so many weeks", but you find out for your self, i know what a lot of street riders are like, i am of the soft riding kind, my try-all rim is nearly dead now, but its only due to being nearly 3 years old, with at least 10 grinds to its name, so i havnt been doing so bad! Andrew

kk thats good, just got mine in the post today, look really nice, they're to go on my leeson when i get it back anyone else? Andrew yer, im looking forward to seeing how monty tyres compare to try-all, ive had creepy crawlers before, but not for a while, they seemed good though. Try-all wear out too fast, so that left me with monty, and they're a bit cheaper than try-alls Andrew
-
As the title says, has anyone ground them and used them with a magura, all the bikes ive seen have used rear disk brakes. Has anyone got any experience of grinding them, i need a new rim and currently grind a try-all, which aint the best of rims. Also, another question, has anyone got monty tyres, but only the rear one has monty written on it in the red and white writing? help much appreciated! Andrew

i've had that before. now: and and my car wheel: Andrew

Haha, sounds good, i'll have to try it, part from i dont smoke! and mum probs wont be so keen to cook me a fried breakfast, but you can beat a fried egg and bacon sarney!! Andrew

People do say you can drink right through it, but it hasn't worked for me yet! just don't have the stomache! or mayb its the wallet!! lol Andrew
