  1. Surely if so many people grind their rims then their is a gap in the market for pre-ground rims. Not just someone taking a grinder to them, but a professional job done on a machine. I remember onza producing a prototype CNC "grind" on one of their rims. anyone remember? Andrew
  2. That is true to a certain exent, but it doesn't make it okay.
  3. No im not, thats just the impression that he has made on me, alright, so i havnt ever spoken to him, but then not everyone will. I just think a rider of his standard should be a better role model to younger riders. I no longer find his riding appealing. Just my opinion Danny, and i know how much u want his babies.
  4. Big riding, attitude stinks. Not really a good role model to kids, there's even bad language in the topic title. Its not just this video im talking about either. If u dont want the clips then delete them! otherwise, realease them as a video. I really dont like the style of your videos, im not questioning your ability. Its just poor show in terms of attitude towards it.
  5. oh my god! that was amazing, one of the coolest vids ive seen. I can see a lot of work has been put into it, and every minute well spent. Cool shots, really smooth camera action, cool riding, especially enjoyed the trials at the end. Uve got some nice bikes man! Where was it filmed? Andrew
  6. just a thought, u might have already tried it, have you tried using ur middle finger for braking? I tried it once when i injured my index finger and it seemed to work ok. Andrew
  7. Just a question for u halfords lovers: I recently aquired a Halfords trade card for car parts as im studying automotive engineering !! What does it get me reductions on? obviously car parts, but what else, tools etc?? also, what sort of % reduction do you get? thanks Andrew
  8. the only problem that i have with it is that it seems as if the riding has been speeded up slightly. Andrew
  9. Thanks for your help. Just out of curiosity, what would be the outcome of casting a component out of steel, not pure iron? Andrew
  10. Would get it over the Ozonys any day, but apparently they're not available yet, which explains why ive only seen Koxx world riders riding them so far! Andrew
  11. Well worth the download! great vid, some awesome riding, and HD is definatley the way forward, well while i'm getting uni downlaod speeds!! High quality vid beats poo tube hands down!! Andrew
  12. so im guessing most automobiles will used cast items, as forged would cost a lot more. Obviously forged steel has a higher strength to weight ratio than cast iron, so the cast iron version would be bulkier? Andrew
  13. bascally itsa simplified verion of what ur slave cylinder/hub bolts onto on car, they're everywhere!! i was just hoping somen could tell me eactly how they are made?? Andrew
  14. yeah, that sort of thing, but im no dumb ass. Would it be machined from a casting? other option is to have two parts welded together Andrew
  15. Hello all, here's a model i made on solid edge, its some sort of stub axel, not sure what its off. Does anyone know the manufacturing methods that would be used to manufacture it? any help greatly appreciated, Andrew
  16. music was terrible and this is exactly the style of video that i hate, nothing flowing, no imagination to it, perfect stereotype Andrew
  17. To be fair, thats the way it should be. Moto trials bikes are like that. Its not just a way of making it lighter, its the simplest way of doing it, if u've only got one gear, then why have a rear mech, or a device that attaches to a mech hanger?? Its take a while to catch on and i think this is mainly because of the 5 gear competition rule that kicked up so much fuss. But now that its gone, and stock bikes are looking more and more like mods, just with bigger wheels, ie, large bb and handle bar rise, the gates have opened for stock frames with horizontal dropouts. I still think that it is a a pain to align a wheel every time slacken te back wheel bolts, especially for magura brakes, but also for the increasingly popular rear disk. So is the best option a dropout without a mech hanger with a small chain tensioner in between the chainstay and the hub?? I dont mean to be biased, but Leeson-esque seems the most sensible option, plus, wheelbase is never affected. Andrew
  18. ur trousers are really long.... ...are u shrinking? thats quite serious you know.
  19. Wow! that is awesome, i dont often post comments on people's bikes, but that looks awesome! When i saw you ride it at that shipley national i just thought, "i want that!" and its not just cos ur a good rider! there's something about the bar stem set up that it very appealing as well! No i dont think they are mate, i saw them at a comp, they're something special, but im not sure what, i think ive seen other Koxx riders using them. Andrew doesn anyone know how that downtube is fromed like that? And what will it do to the strength/stiffness of the tube?? Andrew
  20. just my efforts to get the steerer tube out, and as for the bike, ive managed to strip the pedal thread in the right hand crank! I've got a set of monty cranks, but they wont fit on my koxx unless i get a wider BB, but in not going to do that seen as a i am waiting to get my Leeson frame back on which everything fits perfect. Andrew
  21. haha, did make a bit of noise and sort of ended up looking a little dodgy, glad no1 walked in!! dont want to find another article of sexual misconduct on a bike! jobs all sorted now, but i wont be able to ride for a good week, dont suppose ill bemaking i to the comp at addingham... Andrew
  22. what a bugger, tried Tw**ting the steer off the floor while holding the frame, which is concrete still not coming loose.... Andrew
  23. im in my room at uni, without a hammer, im stripping down my bike and im unable to get the forks out of the frame! Any suggestions? Andrew
