    Streety 26"

Are there any 26" street frames with a seat left on the market? Its a real shame that they seem to have died out. Yeah, its not all bad as they seem to have been replaced by 24" bikes, but what was wrong with 26"? I still think that there is a market for a high end 26" with a seat, and made of aluminium. And I mean a proper seat, the Ashton Justice and Pashley Ghz dont really count. You may say "whats the point?" because trials bikes have evolved and seats are a thing of the past, but, for a more public point of view, trials bikes are looking more like they should be found in the circus. I firmly believe that you can ride anything if you practise enough, and it really is the rider and not the bike. I'd love to have a 26" street bike, with trialsy geometry and a seat. I know there have been a few efforts in the past, but the geometry was a little bit old fashioned and they were never really given a second look, like that echo for example (it was that popular that i can't even remember the name of it! ) You're thoughts? -Andy
  2. Cool video, really nice style and great editing!
  3. They're stiff and certainly not weak, but there are better frames out there, particularly for the money. Have a look at the rockman frames
  4. It wasn't I'm afraid, Porter and Stan both cracked their's if i can remember rightly.
  5. I want a 26" version with a disk tab! nuf said
  6. 3rd place, nice one Tom!
  7. Do you see professional websites being put online before they are even remotely finished? Also, do you think that the juvenile favorite saying, "F**k it, who cares!" is really appropriate for a "professional" website image?
  8. I didnt go, but i am intrigued to know what you're on about... Also, anyone know the results for expert and elite on the saturday?
  9. Now downloadable, see top of the thread
  10. The bb to bb yoke design on the because frames looks shocking.
  11. Well its hard to say as I dont know what you've done to your rim with the file, but providing you have a nice sharp grind, your pads should bed back in very quickly if you have changed the position of your pads in any way. This is why i would always recommend using a grinder, so that you achieve a consistant grind.
  12. Some amazing riding going on! Some serious front wheel committment! Those lycra pants look pretty disgusting though!
  13. I fitted some fresh pads with black anodised backings on friday evening before the DJ ride, so they had not had any time to bed in. They worked very well all day on saturday despite the very wet conditions. Highly recommended pad+backing combo.
  14. One of the coolest video's I have ever seen. Its manly!
  15. Brilliant day, the weather certainly didn't dampen peoples' spirits. Massive thanks to Charlie and Sue, I've had such a good day! The Tick episode was pretty funny! Great to ride with everone, catch up with old faces and meet some new. Thanks once again, Andrew RIP DJ
  16. Whats wrong with the Pashley forks? they're retro! Sweet bike Bigs, like the sticke on the fork leg!
  17. It's not possible to laser etch in some of those positions. They seem to be some sort of transfer, they refuse to peel off, so I'm not sure really. The frame isn't laquered, just an anodised finish, so there's nothing on top of them. I'll as one of the guys at Rockman next time i'm talking to them. EDIT: just realised those brakes are the wrong way around, that mean it's going abroad?
  18. I should really see what Darlington is like for street sometime.
  19. Yes, without doubt. There are two bars, the black Rockbar is great if you're on a budget. They can be compared to extended monty bars in terms of feel. I love mine.
  20. Caught this a few days ago on facebook, Mr Hermance had a link to it on his profile. Emmense, absolutely amazing, he seems to do it without putting a huge amount of stress on his body unlike some. The jumpe over the car then into the passenger seat was cool, and that backwards tumble followed by the leapfrog over that block thing was amazing!
  21. Sweet, but i prefer mine As Otacon said, black rims and the black rockbars would suit it better.
  22. getting really excited now! Not been to the Abingdon DJ ride before, always want to go on previous years. Can't wait! Better get some revision done now though, exam on monday
