  1. As far as I am aware the XTP has a normal headtube so a standard 1 1/8 headset should fit. At times I do wounder how people can warrent having such nice bikes with such little knowledge about them *sigh*. If all else fails buy another Koxx headset, or try-all whatever rip off company it was. But as people have said: 1. Remove old forks and take off the old crown race. 2. Take out old headset from frame. 3. Get a hammer, a piece of wood and the echo headset you have. 4. Insert carefully but hitting the wood onto the headset into the frame, make sure it doesnt go wonkey. 5. Stick the forks through the headset. 6. Tighten to make sure its all dandy. I am almost certain Koxx would not make forks, headset and frame that all had to be Koxx parts, so if that fails well, heh not my problem.
  2. Sorry I dont like it, I am sure it rides lovely which is all that matters its just, ever since I have seen that frame, its those gueests behind the seat tube that just ruin it for me, remove them and the frame would be lush I think. How does it ride anyway?
  3. ACS, you blatantly want one I would say the ENO from what I have heard about them they seem solid, and try-all, in my opinion charge too much for second quality products.
  4. Anyone fancy a ride on reading the 27th?? 11 at station as always.
  5. I am pretty sure that hardly anyone on here will use Premiere and all its features, however its just a nice layout compared to Movie Maker. Same with photoshop, I hardly know anything but I prefer it to paint or Fireworks.
  6. It did lack in gaps etc but we just from 2 rides. The song was Cary Brothers - Ride, very good artist/s not sure if its solo or a band. Cheers for commets.

    New Video

Hey just got this video off my mate once he finished editing it, nothing huge just some general riding, tried a few new things but just having abit of fun really. Enjoy Linky If you cannot get it from there let me know I have an alternative link.
  8. Trouser Clips Awsome to be honest, stop you ripping jeans and you dont look like a chav. No offense porter. Serious note though, dont run a Front freewheel Assuming you are that is, or run a bash.
  9. Maybe, will be interesting to see this in a couple of days when most people have voted.
  10. Right, Ive been seeing alot of videos and pictures recently and I seem to remember there being a lot more stock riders than before, however at the moment I seem to be seeing a lot of mod riders. Just wanted to do a poll to see if there has been a shift in the amount of riders on each bike. If you have a "modstock" its still a stock due to wheel size. Also if you have more than one bike I have allowed this option. I think there may have been more of a shift to mod riding? May just be me.
  11. Its basically a CNC 06 Magura. I dont see a problem with this so long as my braided hosing works with it It looks nice, at first glance, damn ugly, but its growing on me. So long as its performs as well as the Magura 06 then I have no problems using one, just needs to be reliable, and I can see if being slightly lighter as he has machined away parts off the lever that were not needed. I think a V2 revision will be spot on, not as if magura got it right first time eh? I am suprised there is no form of monty hose splitter built in, a way that distributes the fliud evenly to both slaves, this would be a nice feature. Also how long before anodized slaves, lever bodys and coloured hose are back?
  12. Unless its absolutly pissing it down, theres no reason not to ride, makes you find the extra grip on tyres and brakes you never thought you had and you also ride alot better due to worse conditions.
  13. Or Hope could save alot of development costs and just make you guys buy real stock frames I cant see much use for it to be honest, 116mm spacing instead of 135, when most the markets use 135mm it seems pointless.
  14. I have to say if you run a light grind Coust pads are awsome, my friend did this, loads of lock. Plazmatics are pretty in the middle, medium grind and they will be fine for 6-9 months I would say. I personally run Koxx Browns, not the softest pad, but they last ages and I find them to be very good all round pads, summer or winter, rain or shine. I start with a relatively harsh grind on my rim and leave it till they start to slip which is around 3 month old grind, they seem to work well on any sort of grind.
  15. Good point about the mechanical advantage. I suppose its going to be one of those things about rear brakes, alot of personal preference. I prefer a front disc over a front rim brake, but I shall use the tried and tested Magura on the back. Just dont trust discs on the back much.
  16. I have run a rear disc ages ago, Hope C2 180mm, not as if it wasnt powerful its just, I didnt feel that it held that well, I still am skeptical of discs on the rear I just dont think they have the power of a rim brake. Think logically 26" wheel being stopped by pads, or a 6-8" disc being stopped, It might not seem much as trials is a slow sport (relatively speaking) however the difference in diameter makes a big difference.
  17. Nice bunch of mixed replies Rides an absolute dream, will get the red stickers sorted out soon enough, need to get paid first
  18. Does sorting the server mean getting rid of the annoying IPS Driver Error? Im assuming this is to do with the switch to a newer board.
  19. I am not one to talk when it comes to getting parts that do not match, my bikes pretty co-ordinated. However, dont get a try-all just to match your booster. It is personal preference on how you like your bars, try find someone with a T-Rex and try out their set-up. I have a 110x10 on my bike and mate has 120x20, I hate his setup, feels too high for me, yet he doesnt like how low mine is, its all down to how you like it. Also I thought Urbans were some of the longest forks out there?? Everyone complained that they gained abit of bb rise when using them, or is this my imagination?
  20. Its either 2 pawls engageing at a time on 32 teeth, which would be bad, 1 pawl at a time on a deep 16 tooth, fine for most stuff not trials, or its going to be a horrible 4 pawls on a 64 teeth, which is just deadly.
  21. Yea I also have the 125 mbps one, mines a slightly different model, last years or something, but my 360 does not support 125mbps mode so I am on 54. However unless you have 125mbps internet or actually transfer files over a lan, doesnt make much difference, mines for internet only, both internet devices are in my room
  22. Damon Watson killed his hub in 3 hours. Hope Pro 2 T all the way. I have used an XC, Mono, King and a Pro 2. To be honest theres not much in it between the King and the Pro 2, if you want the pimp factor get a King otherwise pro 2 is fine, running one now. They engage solidly and reliably, they are also relatively cheap. Hope also have a second to none customer service, they will generally repair hubs free of charge or for a small fee depending on the situation.
  23. Everyone uses the left right or right left technique. I find if I start 2.5 to 3 crank turns away from the object, for this we shall go with 2. Start with your strong foot forward, do a whole crank turn, then bring your strong foot up to a 90' position and use a whole 1.25 crank turns, it will give you incredible power and get you up most thing with all the required tucking etc. Once you have nailed this up to about 3ft or so, then learning how to tap objects which would be the next big thing
  24. On some headsets such as the hope you have a little piece of the headset you put on top of the cup itself, I shall try to find a pic, if you remove this, place the stem on top and then mark where the top of the stem is on the steerer tube, cut it to that level and then place the whole headset back together, should be the perfect height. On headsets without this such as my Echo, aim for between 3-5 mm, if its flush or too close to the top it will give you headset rock and your bike will ride pretty nasty. Headset spacers are good to use so long as you dont use too many as I believe it can add extra stress the to the headtube due to the extra leverage available above the headset, dont quote me on that though.
  25. I believe the record is 23ft unofficial by some guy on an orange zero I seem to remember, was like some digger ontop of a like hill or something and he went over side. Cant remember who it was though. I have done 10ft in pompy, nice gale force winds, was fun, will do it again I would imagine as I am now 100x better at dropping, but one theory a friend of mine had is "if you cant get up that high, why drop it?". So long as you can do around 6-8 foot you will be fine in my opinion.
