Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Nick Garland replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Got a problem myself, broke up with my g/f on tuesday, more of a mutual thing. Basically something was not exaclty right so I confronted her about it and she was saying about her going to manchester uni being a slight problem because of the long distance, a relative died and that gave her a hard time as her mum expected her to do more around the house and also with exams coming up she felt a bit stressed. So I said to her "do you want to break it off whilst we are still friends" the reply being, no, maybe, im not sure then yes. She started to cry but not too much in college. Anyway we been talking as good mates and spoke to her today and mentioned how my mates mum did not like her as we broke up and she said "if you did not pressure it we probaboly wouldnt have broken up and still be together", this happened today being friday. She said how she had really missed me the past few nights and stuff. Then when she left she went to kiss me and realised we apart so dived to my cheek. I got the impression she wanted to get back together so I am hopefully going over there tomorrow to talk to her about it. I asked 4 mates and family what they though, all 4 mates said I should get back with her, so did my parents but my sister was the only one to say "give it a break" I do not want to leave it too long before we both move on and what we had was lost, I am tempted to get back with her as theres another 4/5 months till we go to uni and we really got on so well, no petty arguments etc and I enjoyed spending time with her. Anyone else been in this situation if so what did you do? if not what should I do? I do not normally ask for help like this on a forum so no harsh replies -
Would A Double Front Brake Work?
Nick Garland replied to BenLeacock™'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
It oould work but there is really not point in it. A single brake is fine on the front, disc. v or ,maggy. Also there would also be a serious issue when setting it up as however it was hydraulic or cable it would be near impossible to get them to lock at the same time. Then there is the weight to power ratio, its just really not worth all the extra weight for very little gains. Someone has done it browse OTN, I think it was on there, to be fair its a pretty stupid idea as there are hardly any advantages of it and it will be really hard to impliment. -
The pro 3 is the mono replacement as far as I am aware.

I voted street, as I ride this more, however this is due to the lack of natural around here. I do however enjoy riding GOOD natural sometimes more than street as its a lot more technical and impoves balance and feel on the bike. I just wish there were more rocks around here, being south east england not alot lol.

I am running an Echo 07 rim and it is lovely, would not trade it, with the extra thick sidewalls can take more grinds than the koxx rim too. Echo 07 ***.

I have always found rear discs to put so much stress on rear hubs. I have snapped numerous axles with them and broken hub shells too from many brands. I just think rear discs are wrong.

There will be 2 of us from the Farnborough Massive. Sounds awsome, this as well as the portsmouth dj ride, going to be good.

I will be there however train arrives at 10:30 something so will have a lonley time for half an hour, be ok I imagine though. I hope someone knows the spots round reading as I have found it to be poor so far.

All you had to do was force the pistons back as you are not meant to move them without a rotor and pads on as stated in the user manual. As you have a rebleed should sort it out.

I thought this might help a few people who are interested in the pro bolt bolts, a mini review. I was considering buying some normal replacement bolts from the manufacturer, hope in this case, for my pro 2 hub. The hope bolts were £15, pro bolts £16. I was a bit skeptical as to whether they would be any good. For the £1 price difference the bolts are totally worth it, they are absolutly top quality, polished finish as well. The allen key head is very clean and deep so there is little chance of it rounding off, also very light due to them being titanium. So in short, for those wanting replacement bolts I would reccomend the pro bolts top quality and worth the price.

Revell Rear Rim With Maxxis High Roller 2.5
Nick Garland replied to NVWOCI WVS's topic in Trials Chat
I can get my maxxis 2.5 off without using anything, just using my hands and an echo 07 rim, doesnt seem normal now everyone says that its meant to be hard. -
It looks good, demo played good. However just doesnt feel like anything, new really. Its just C&C generals, slightly better interface with slightly better graphics. I hope they multiplayer is good as thats all I shall buy it for, at the moment Supreme Commander is winning the RTS of the year , for my anyway. If you have not tried Supreme Commander, go try it, 80km x 80km maps and 1000 units per team and up to 8 teams .

I was not aware Uni results came out a week earlier, oh well

There is a thread asking about a big group ride. Possibly a ride per county or something, or maybe we could as a group of trials riders raise some money and put it forward through Trials-Forum. I think Trials-Forum as a whole, or trials riders in general should raise some money for it somehow. Any ideas?

Im no high school teacher but theres an extension program going on in my trousers. Thats one seriously nice bike, and if the geo is right I may be tempted with one. Finally leeson has joined the long and low crew, smart move in my opinion as more people will buy one now. Providing they ride well.

Did not spot those on your site, cheers adam. Shall get some of those when I manage to find some cash.

I have managed to round one of my pro 2 bolts which I am not too pleased about. Are there any companies that sell an 8mm bolt for them, ie use an 8mm allen key, or even just a deeper bolt so its harder to round as I have found the pro 2 bolts to be abit shallow in terms of the depth of the allen key area.

You can pay next time alex, that raped my bank. None the less that was a good ride, shame about 3 punctures

I prefer the old style. It looks like deng got the left overs from his Adamants and slapped it on, the rear triangle looks veyr much like the old A1's with the huge cnc chunk for the break. Not a fan, nice touch on the smoothed welds though.

Unless you say in what way you are unhappy with them no one can help. Is it the lack of grip of X tyre or is it the pinch protection of tyre Y? You might find that one tyre grips better with worse pinch protection whilst another has better protection but less grip, and you will just have to adjust to compensate whichever it is. If you have not tried try-all tyres they may be worth a go, pretty grippy and good protection, this is on stock not sure on mod.

I tried to lick, and failed Some really random facts in there, although they are quite cool. Nice work ! I shall not give up yet, I will lick my elbow.

Not specifically trials shoes. But Etnies Rooftop 3s are signiture shoes for a pro bmxer, cant remember his name. I use them and find them very comfy, also alot tougher than pixie shoes They have very good impact protection, some special gel substances in the bottoms of shoes, and very good ankle support.

From my experience, they are not bad, but they are not fab. I had an Adamant A1 and it was ok, I used to like it. Although I did find it abit tiring, however it was sexual on the backwheel, but I had to adjust my technique so much to gap and sidehop etc. I moved to the Zoo! 20mm bb rise, like my old toxsin was, already 10x better to ride. Everyone used to hate my Adamant, and now I can see why. You will really need to ride one before buying, I cannot reccomend them.
