  1. Its absolutly lovely, I run quite a low stem which some people find weird but I love it. Very easy on the back wheel, nice to gap all round top bike, by far my favourite frame. I have had a LB1040, Toxsin 1 and an Adamant A1 '06, this is the best though, improved my riding vastly.
  2. Got this at christmas, made a few changes: Removed gash Zoo! stickers. Carbon lever on hope. Dengura on the rear. 74 Kingz Tensioner. Singlespeed now. Custom drilled echo rim. Looks a lot better I think. Will get some better pictures tomorrow when I rediscover where I left my camera.

  5. For reference your need the fittings on goodridge hosing to be all the same, unlike the old magura hosing they all use the same connector. Kinda annoying as I have had to order them from hope.
  6. Stranger than fiction. Really good film, especially if you are a fan of Will Ferrel. 8.5/10
  7. It depends on your budget, a nice mono trial is £140, you can get a bb7, some cable and a lever for about £75, if you get a good lever and cable then your nearing the mono trial price. I personally think the mono trial is better, I have owned both and prefer the fluid feel.
  8. I think its around the 5.5" mark, I seem to remember Adam mentioning this in an e-mail i sent him.
  9. I think that is pretty nice myself even with the weird bump. Anything that is not long low and silver most people seem to reject these days. Maybe they are trying to make it fun to ride.
  10. That is indeed a good album, have not heard their newer stuff thought but what it is to burn is insane.
  11. Not so much leavers day pranks but pranks that were pulled at my school were: Wrapping teachers cars in lotsa of clingfilm. Stealing a teachers car, driving it on the field and hot boxing it. Setting the field on fire. Egging teachers cars. Sticking a dildo onto the classroom door handle. I think those were the best,
  12. My friend reminded me of an amazing band. Finch. Really forgot how good they were, fantastic riding music.
  13. I think to this day Danny Holroyd is one of my favourite riders, they pretty much re-invented what street trials was about and still trials kings videos inspire me. Now I would say neil tunnicliffe as well purely as I am becoming a fan of going big, but I think neil just evolved what the trials kings started. I notice how there are A LOT of british names appearing here, quite impressive.
  14. My mate has one of these and it did the same on his super pro bashring. It is only the chain cutting away at the bashring, tarty even said it would happen so it is nothing to worry about, ride it around until it has cut away at it enough to run smoothly.
  15. Never used spanish fly pads but from what I hear they are not that good, they are a very hard compound and you need a really harsh grind to make them work well. Apparantly good for wet weather but as I said I have not used them this is just what I know from a friend who has.
  16. I have to say that if you have enough meat on your frame it might be worth trying to re-thread mounts. My mate has a threading kit and has re-threaded a few things for me, seems a lot better as its on the same material and not adding a new piece of metal. Looks good though.
  17. Yeah I have tried echo red pads on a water bleed as I am currently running one. They are good and as I said above if you want them to last more than 1 ride I reccomend a slightly dead grind, a fresh grind will rip these pads apart. Glad I bought a second pair at the bikeshow from tarty's for £10.
  18. From personal experience. All the "home made" pads do not last long, they may offer good performace but they all seem to die quick on dead grinds, and last about 2 hours on fresh grinds. Koxx Browns, insane life can last over a year on fresh grinds, they do kill the grinds a bit though how ever they do work mint and I have sworn by them for over 2 years, until now. Brilliant bite, modulation and the hold is good. Plazmatic CRMs, these are also very good pads, long lasting, about 6 months on fresh grinds, but also work on dead grinds, insane honking noise and great hold. Echo pads, my new favourites. They are very soft and work best on a dead grind or they will only last about 2 months. Currently used them on a few rides and so far they are one of the better pads I have used, good noise, strong bite and again very good hold. I would reccomend any of the above, depends how long you want them to last as they all offer good performance however the shorter the life span the better they seem to be up to a point. Koxx Browns : 12 months + Plazmatic CRMs : 6 months + Echo pads : 3 months + (at a guess, not wearing too fast at the moment and my grind is not completely dead)
  19. I like to have mine the same level, as someone else said if they are different it puts me off balance. Its another one of those personal preferences really, I doubt that having it a certain way will make you a better rider.
  20. If you want your pads to last more than 1 ride, I suggest a dead grind. I am using a dead grind and already I can see they have worn, they are really soft but nice pads.
  21. I have an echo rear brake. I personally think it is a vast improvement over the normal magura, seeing pictures does not do them justice. They really are worth £135 no doubt about that. The lever body is perfcetly machined to a smooth shiney surface with all the excess material removed, the way the hose is positioned to go into the lever makes it near impossible to actually piece the hosing. The slaves themselves are very well refined, they have shorter and fatter pad holders (metal bit that pokes out not sure of the name). They are longer so they allow more adjustment too. The tpa is ALOT stronger than the magura ones, I have broken 7 of the 05/06 magura tpas within days of having them, the echo one is solid as, even the tpa adjsuter itself is machined. The lever blades are longer and thus give more power, the fact you get some damn nice CNC brake mounts too and some echo pads. I have learnt one thing over the years, you get what you pay for. If you are willing to spend the money on good products you will reap the rewards. I have used rear vees and discs too, and so far the echo brake is the best.
  22. I did a mixture of the above before even reading this. I losened all the non disc ones, moved them over and put the nipples on losely but enough to hold them in place, did the same for the disc side. Then the usual of tensioning, truing, dishing etc, worked a treat.
  23. I am running water in mine, its a bnit spongey as I do not think the bleed did very well but it will do for now, waiting for new fittings on my braided hosing before I re-bleed it. They are lush with water bleeds, so responsive.
  24. Has anyone actually got any proof of water damaging plastic/rubber seals? The only bad thing I know about running water is that it does not lubricate the pistons as well, nothing that flushing the system with some royal blood of some WD40 will not fix. I am currently a water bled mag rider myself and to be honest I do not want to go back, oils just seem so slow to respond and release the lever back, I can see the upside of the lubrication though.
  25. I have at the moment an echo 2007 front rim on a pro 2, I have a new echo 2007 front rim that I am going to build onto the pro 2 so its the exact same wheel. I have had the old one together for 5 months now will the spokes be ok to re-use or shall I get some new ones? I have been using a front disc but the tension has not been really tight as I have been scared of ripping the nipples through my rim so the spokes should not be too stressed.
