100kg isnt a little its alot, ive took 80kg out my car and can tell the diference, its quite noticeable. same again with the clio unless youve been in one you dont know the capabilities ive had a few people very suprised with it defo left them speechless. my cars comfy has all the shit ill ever need and does 40mpg, i dont need to drop a cog to overtake. and it doesnt need thrashing the car pulls from right down the revs maybe not as hard as others but its fine. the clio does love to be taken to its limits though. you say yours will keep with the clio as the sheer grip is insane but thats the same as mine it does have a shitload of grip and loves corners. lets face it nick your car has the build quility, but it isnt as fast as the clio isnt asmuch fun doesnt handle aswell and imo the older model like yours doesnt look asgood the interior is poor imo the fabri for one. its not going to be the end of the world admiting this.

im not going of my experiances but from what ive read, the general feeling is the car is heavy and you can feel it when driving and its more a nice car than a fun car handleing isnt amazing its just satisfactory obviously a car you can be confident wont die but lacks the full on fun factor of the clio.

for 8k if you was wanting the clio go for the 172 all the extras xenons climate control leather alcantara seats everything electric no doubt it handles better than the audis and astras and will put a bigger smile on your face. you can pick a nice one up for 6k and you can get 200brake easily and a few other things for the 8k youll have. tuning wise the clio isnt amazing but you wont need all that power to have a rapid one as the cars light. i say go drive them all and see what you think, you know what the deal with them all is just make your own mind up. whats this 182 cup mot fail thingy ive never heard anything like this.
