  1. Nah, sold it. Dropped it off last Saturday to the mapping place. Got a phone call on the Monday saying there were issues, and it just wasn't flowing right. Apparently the bigger inlet/throttle body and different turbo intake pipe routing had a massive negative effect. Needed £300+ spent on parts, plus the map...so £800+. Just couldn't justify it anymore, so the batten has been passed to the new owner to take it over and give it the love it deserves. As amazingly quick and brilliant handling, braking etc that it was; it was only those things when you were flat out on track, or on a big time hoon on a back road. Trundling along through a town, or at a constant speed on a motorway, it was loud, uncomfortable, obnoxious and just generally not a pleasant place to be. I am going to look at an Audi S3 8P, which has the same turbo, but with an extra 0.2 litres displacement, 4 wheel drive, and won't make me look like a total willy driving along a residential road Should be a happy 370bhp 370ftlb at Stage 2+, and still has room for friends in the back, has sat nav, heated leather seats etc etc. Time to grow up a little!
  2. 7 hour train journey to Penrith on Saturday to look at a new car. FML
  3. Yeah, got there fine...no noises or anything unusual. ...might be selling it though haha
  4. Car is now at the mappers. No idea when it will be done. I feel a bit lost!
  5. Most expensive oil I've ever bought...£65 for 5L Hopefully the main ingredient isn't "snake" #becausehighperformancemodifiedvehicle
  6. Fitting any manifold in situ is a royal pain in the ass. Really do not envy you Drop off for mapping Saturday...engine is rattling. Excellent.
  7. You'd be a bit of a mong to change the manifold and not the turbo if you were even remotely thinking about doing it at a later date
  8. Buy a diff, buy a diff, buy a diff. f**k the extra power
  9. Not that rare, got another one right here
  10. No excuse that you can't afford it either
  11. Mines only ever broken because of things I've done to it, lol. The actual car itself is the most reliable I've had - I've actually spent very little "fixing" it - the cost for me comes because I have an obsession with ruining cars.
  12. Just download Open Office. Same shit, but free
  13. You'll get the bug and will soon be doing all the work yourself...exactly how I started You'll be bolting on a supercharger in no time!
  14. Plus gas is the f**king boss
  15. Honestly can't believe the difference it's made. Can't wait to see how it affects lap times! There were several points at Snetterton where I found the inside wheel loosing grip...hopefully this will be a thing of the past now.
  16. Unless you have adjustable top mounts, you won't have that much camber. Lots of camber feels awesome, but it kills tyres. Doubt that's your issue.
  17. More likely the front arb is too big if there is no rear to much. Must under steer like a mofo
  18. My LSD equipped gearbox is now fitted and working. Hooooooooly fuuuuuuck!!! It's incredible! It literally just grips and grips and grips. You can actually feel it pulling you round the corner, rather than the inside wheel spinning. Cannot recommend it enough! Anybody with any kind of decent power in a fwd car NEEDS one. I would happily drop 50bhp to keep the grip I have now. Absolutely the best thing I've done to the car for a looooong time!
  19. They've done the hard bit though
  20. The Cock Inn? Suggestive at the very least
  21. No he won't...it's embarrassing I'll try again with the LSD installed
  22. Finally got my meth sorted. Holy fuuuuuuuuck what a difference Genuinely scared about how fast it's going to be when its mapped properly!
