I'd be surprised if the bloody thing will even go round a track. It's so safe and predictable haha. But yes, excuse #876 -

Need to just check I can get the day off work, but think it will be fine. Representing team 4wd...with an unmapped car. This is going to suck. -

Did a little private job for a (quite fit MILF) friend of my mums on my way home. Had to move the bed out of the way...found these underneath. Oh how I laughed!!!

I have an SJ4000 wifi camera I was given as a gift at Xmas I could be persuaded to part with if the price was right. It was intended for using on trackdays...but seeing as I no longer do trackdays, it is rather defunct! Literally only been used to test, never even if the car, was just in my work van to see what it was like. Let me know if you're interested

Above is all well and good, but the likelyhood of a bike spilling fluids when they bail is much much more likely than a car

Friday for sure

Just quoting that for future broken-mx5-rage threads

Talking of exhausts, I've just ordered this for mine. It's an absolute beauty, apparently the metalwork and welds are out of this world (wants to be for the price!!!). I have gone for a 3" "Sports" resonated system. I was very conscious that I didn't want it silly loud, and NO drone (been there, done that!). Also paid the extra for a 3.5" downpipe, hopefully that will free it up a bit more too Took it for its first proper thrashing after fitting the intake and fuel pump at the weekend. It's quick, but just feels a bit "numb" at the moment. New cars are too refined and safe, haha. Being pushed through a corner rather than pulling through is an odd sensation at first! I like it though

Who would pay £6k for THAT sofa?!
-
Paid £400, which isn't overly cheap, but compared to the Android type units which are a similar kind of price, this one just "goes" and looks like it belongs rather than being obviously aftermarket, which I think makes it worth the extra few quid.

Today I fitted a Revo intake and Loba HPFP (high pressure fuel pump, mechanicaly driven off the inlet cam on the TFSI engine): Changed the rear lights from the stock pre-facelift lights: To the most recent second facelift (2011 onwards) lights: Not a difficult or big mod, but really modernises the back end I also fitted LED lights to every interior lamp, number plate, DRL's, and fitted footwell and puddle lights (which were an option called "Lighting Pack". Also changed the front indicator bulbs from the standard orange bulbs: To chrome coated bulbs which flash orange. Gets rid of the "fried egg" look, and makes the lights look a bit cleaner: Fitted the new headunit, which went from this (standard "Concert" unit). Pretty dull to look at, but the sound quality was immense, literally never heard anything like it, and that's having spent ££££'s on stereo stuff before: New unit comes in the higher end models (RS3, RS4 etc), and was a £2000 option on the S3. It has sat nav, Bluetooth phone, 2x media card slots, and a 6 cd changer. Think it makes the interior look far far better: Not exactly mountain-moving mods, but it's a good start

From past experience I would disagree, but I'm sure there's some scientific reason as to why you say that

Depends if you have gammon hands or not

The "thread" of the strap is also rolled into the sheet metal rather than pressed. This stops the infamous "click of death" you get with normal jubilee clips when you tighten them too much.

They're not stainless...problem solved until you want to undo it in a few months

Hey, it was a winter project

I have a spending problem. Paid £12k for a mint S3 on Saturday...just spent an additional £1200 on it already, and I feel like I need to control the temptation to spend more. First world problems and all that.

Very much not going to end the same way as the Leon!!! Specifically spending extra money for an exhaust which has a boost actuated butterfly valve which makes it very quiet off boost, and only marginally louder on boost. The exhaust on the LCR was SO loud, it actually hurt at 3-4k, it resonated THAT much. Hateful thing!!! I categorically will not be removing the seats, that I can say with utmost certainty. The Leon was a throwaway car to me. I had my fun with it, and it was never worth *that* much, so didn't feel bad ruining it. The S3 is advertised at £12k, so is much more of a "keeper". ...that's not to say I won't be modifying it though. I will, but it will be considerably more "classily" done.
