Second is as good as losing, may as well be the worst in the country

Sounds perfect, I'll have a look!
-
Ah ok, thank you! That was exactly the response I was after. I thought the price might be a bit too good to be true!

Ah, should have said, looking for a 10" screen really. Had a look at the Hudl, but I think it will be too small

With Christmas coming up, and a rapidly failing laptop, I am looking to buy my girlfriend a tablet PC. She is a driving instructor, so will use the tablet to demonstrate road junctions, videos etc day by day. She will also use the tablet in the evenings to check emails, surf the internet, fill out spreadsheets for each days earnings etc. She's not interested in any fancy brands, so things like Ipads etc are out of the window due to cost. She is more bothered about what colour/design the protective case will be! It has been nearly a decade since I got involved with speccing/building computers, so I my knowledge is well out of date now, so am after some advice/recommendations. I had a quick look on amazon, and spotted a couple of very reasonably priced models. Not from companies I have heard of before, but the reviews all seem to be fairly good, and there is a lot of them, which is normally a good call. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cheapest-Android-KitKat-QUAD-CORE-BLUETOOTH/dp/B00JABR3A0/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1415962504&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/ANDROID-4-4-KITKAT-QUAD-CORE-BLUETOOTH/dp/B00IUXI7HM/ref=sr_1_13?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1415962533&sr=1-13 Can anybody help? Is that price to good to be true? If they are really bad, are there any decent ones for around £100?

You could get a K04 1.8t engine for £1100, with enough change to fit it and make it awesome. ~300bhp in the Porsche would be epic
-
85 will be far too stiff. Can't you just make a sacrifical mould?
-
I'm totally game, but car might not be 100% (as in might not be mapped for the new turbo), so I might have to limp round. Racer excuse #42343
-
He didn't though...that thing has taken him far too long to do
-
Nobody wants you Nick. Becauseracecars aren't allowed
-
The seats weigh about 132542354234kg in the S3, so I would think that accounts for a fair bit of the weight
-
Stop pouring money at a shit engine
-
Seats are Corbeau Club Sport's. Can get them on ebay with sliders and sidemounts for £300.
-
Clutch slip makes the revs go up, not down
-
From the left hand side of the left top mount, to the right hand side of the right is 1190mm. The top mounts I have are 70mm diameter, so I assume that means centre to centre is 1120mm. Hope that helps!
-
How exact do you need Robin? I can do it, but I have adjustable mounts, so may struggle to get mm perfect, seeing as the strut isn't in the centre
-
A lot of what you are feeling now will be the increased caster. Shame you didn't do one bush then the other so you could feel what each individual bush changed. Wait until the get the adjustable top mounts on, will be even better then

Curby isn't really a track. It's just a 30 second sprint. Still great fun, but it's not the same as a "proper" track day. It is however MUCH kinder on the car though, so it's a great start Nobody will laugh at anybody. If they do, they should go home.
-
Cars being off the track waiting for bikes is time wasted I think a limit should be set to 15-20. A nice number would be good, but if there's too many people, there will be too much waiting around. At Curvy, you normally do a warm up lap, then full attack, then come in. Lets say 30 seconds a lap, that means 60 seconds a car. That means at most 20 mins between each run. In all honesty, I think that is the very most I would be wanting to wait between each go. Any longer than that, and everything will cool down too much.

Things that piss you off about the woman in your life

If I spoke to my girlfriend and said "we are going to blah blah blah for dinner", she would probably tell me to get f**ked. Not ALL girls are that way inclined to be incapable of making decisions themselves and having to have the man do everything. Don't be such a chauvinistic pig! And also, the whole salesman thing. f**k that. Nobody would persuade me to buy a car I didn't want. They have tried before, and failed massively. I'm not a mug Keeping it on topic...she peels the lid off the milk and just leaves it on the side. Buys me chocolate sometimes (perhaps birthday/Christmas), and if I don't eat it within a set amount of time, she just eats it herself, like it has some kind of time limit on it. ANNOYING!!!! -
I vote no bikes. Make your own thread In my experience, bikes and cars never mix well on track. I know this is slightly different being a sprint circuit, but still...same applies.

How f**ked am I? 3 speeding letters within a week...

Visit www.forums.pepipoo.com. Write exactly what you have here, and you will get advice from people who know what they are talking about (police, lawyers, solicitors etc). Be careful of "man in the pub" advice, or you might get yourself in more trouble. Ask for "pictures to help identify the driver", do NOT mention "proof", or "evidence". Don't bother asking for camera calibration certificates either, that is an old loop hole that was shut years ago. Also, signs warning of a camera are not required by law at all. The first offence will be a speed awareness course, then it is either 2x 3 points, or 1 continous offence if you can convince them you didn't slow down in between (unlikely, as you admit going to the shop). I am a very frequent user of pepipoo, and have gained quite a lot of knowledge from it. People often trying to "get off", often land themselves in a whole deal more bother. -
A place to stay would be cool, thanks! I think Curby's about 150 miles from mine...so not having to drive 6 hours on the day would probably help my concentration lol.
