  1. I think you could get away with running super light tyres and inner tubes, seeing as you're probably a lot lighter than most of the guys on here.. Tioga make some light innertubes, and they don't cost that much money. Michelin Hot-S tyres (or Mountain Extreme, which is the new name I think) may shed some weight off the bike. I saved about 300 grams on inner tubes by changing to Tioga Superlights, and no punctures yet...
  2. Ibanez RG350DXW Ibanez SM7 dist pedal And crappy 6W amp (not pictured), which can be run with batteries. :( Sound isn't great but it was cheap as chips and I bought it 6 or 7 years ago for my £35 Cort guitar! :(

    New Pedals

You can't compare them like that. I'm not sure Harriers are bashed against walls and rocks, and it's more important how something is constructed, rather than the material it is made out of. Saab JAS 39 Gripen (Swedish fighter jet) is constructed out of carbon fibre and aluminium mostly, and I've seen plenty of carbon fibre and aluminium products (frames, handlebars, etc.) broken. It's all about how you design it.

    Lost Post

I've sent quite large amounts of money in envelopes, 10+ times, first class, and it's all arrived in time. Have done it abroads aswell, and no problems. Either you're very unlucky, or dealing with a fishy seller. I've never had a letter lost in transport here, but Sweden might be a little bit different.

    New Pedals

You can't make something indestructible. £200 sounds a bit heavy for a pair of pedals...
  8. Has got new forks now, and stupid amount of stem stackers.. Newer pic soon-ish.
  9. I'm going Smart Guys, and so should you. (Y) Do they have the one-piece steerer/crown assembly?
  10. My 'rents car, but meh, I still drive it all over the place. Not the car pictured, but same ride, same colour. 2.0 litre diesel engine. VOLVO S40 baby, gotta drive Swedish! (Y)
  11. Material has f**k all to do with how the bike/frame rides, works and looks though. (In this price range). It's just another number, to attract buyers.
  12. that's why god invented internet forums. to spread information. no point keepin' it to yourselves, why not put a post or two up on here?
  13. Thing is, some measurements need to be kept perfect inside a hub for it to function well, and the anodising/stripping process might make the surfaces uneven, or might add or take a few 1/10s, which might ruin the hub totally. I'm not 100% sure this will affect the hub in the way i described, but I would stick with the black shell.
  14. mos. gd gd video. and minimal skiplate usage.
  15. Here's my Coust... Needs new pedals and forks, otherwise fine, don't you think?
  16. Swedes > * On a more serious note.. I think that the French are leading the evolution of trials at the moment.

    Stem

Anything more than 110mm and under 15 degrees rise. I'm 5'8", riding a Coust, with 90 mm x 7 degrees stem, feels good.
  18. 18:15 with 175 mm cranks. Perfect for everything.
