    Helmets

my xen is so much better, more comfy, cooler and better looking than my old pisspot and my old met atomo helmet. the xen is such a lovely fit, really snug and nice on the head, not on top of it like some met helmets ive tried. just don't get the white camo one like me, it's reserved for us snow riders
  3. I think i will give the bearing preloader thingy a bit of force with a screwdriver or something.. clean it off before so it wont slip. bearing play = weird noises!
  4. hey, my king keeps coming loose and i want to make it stop! its a classic with hd axle. I do up the collar as hard as i can with my fingers, then tighten the 3/32" bolt as hard as i dare to, but the b*****d comes loose every 5 seconds! help!

    Junk Food

haha, i love the vinegay crisps too, as do my mates! should try and get a few bags over here again, they're soo good. a swedish manufacturer made them briefly, but they were cancelled due to lack of public interest.
  6. they pop off if you land full force on them. unless you're really unlucky, you should be fine. EVERYONE runs the bb7 and only a handful break. i've used the 185 since a year or two back now. works really well, and it's not nearly as powerful as it should be, but still locks perfectly well. I'd get the 203/205mm (whatever it is) disc, xtr lever, decent cable (xtr, odyssey), should be pretty much mint!
  7. http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/kattnjanson file names will be 'newnoise', 'redbullbikebattle', 'sometimes' and 'whereismymind'.
  8. f**k yeah i am hot! i appreciate all the comments people!
  9. the only reason i changed to king was because i could not stand crap fixed rear hubs. true story! i seem to be one of few that don't mind the engagement of the acs. i think its me and matt staples vs the world on the acs versus king question. i think you should get a king though, they look really good.
  10. matt: i mailed mr daddy coust and he sold me some. if you wanna have a ride between the 10-14 april, let me know and we'll sort something out. also matt, why are you never on msn? i had grown my hair, until tonight, i got it trimmed. had too long hair, did look good with a tube of gel, black shirt and a nice tie though
  11. can't tell that much of a difference. pisses me off on wheelswaps though, not enough slack so i can move the pedals around without the hub engaging.
  12. Went out for a 40 minute sidehopping session today, when I met two freeride guys. One of them rode home for his very nice D70 cam, to take some pics of me. So here we go, some pics from messing about outside the local library! First spring day of the year for us, 5 degrees and sun! Small wheelswap Pedal up Pedal up with a bit of touching thing, perfect for stuff under 37"-ish Landing of another one, had to abubaca back off. Up, then gap to next, and gap to final post, then off to wall and down. On the last of the 3 posts. Riding animals has always been my thing, this stone Lion was more solid than the shark i rode.. The pics with the black borders are taken by Andreas Karlsson. The pics without borders are taken by Henrik Jonestrand. More of his pixxx at http://mtb.haas.se/cal/ Old man we met, hilarious guy. He told us that Linköping (this city) was the first christian city in the whole country! Not sure if it was true, but he was a laugh nonetheless. Enjoy!
  13. Just cleaned my king out. Bashed the bearing out, took the internals out, cleaned everything PROPERLY, put it together, lubed, tightened. Time to regrind the rim, but we'll see how it goes. Rings looked ok, but found some metal shavings inside the hub, probably the reason... Time will tell.
  14. you can't. etching leaves a bare surface, ie removes anodising and paint. so it's pretty hard to remove it.
  15. i wonder if i can take the driveside bearing out with something other than the hub tool. i should get it looked at but i dont know anyone with a hub tool. might just try and get the bearing out with other tools.. brute force or something. im considering going back to ACS or something that actually works.
