Would be easier to get 100% pad contact with a rim like the tryall though, as the sidewalls are so low. And yeah, it was hard to improve, so I went with a simpler option.

Haha, yeah it was. All sorted now. The curve design IS better, but would have been nearly impossible for me, because I did not use a CNC mill. It is doable but it would have taken forever. Seems like people like the CNC backings though, which is what's important.

Plaz made but they broke maggies and nobody used them. You made some but they were expensive. So I made my own because I wanted to try, and it was a good way of learning how to work a mill, then I realised that people would like them, so I got in touch with Heatsink about them.

Fatmike is the king of harsh grinds, I could not believe my eyes when he showed me how he grinds. I grind fairly harsh, and compared to his tech, i caress the rim...

Neither Koxx nor BT have (to me) shown any interest in aluminium backings, but I'm sure things will change when they realise how popular they have become. I think I started a big trend.

Have I got everything wrong, but with a Deng hub, do you have to use a 15t cog? If so, I'd find it very hard to get a new Deng frame, or a Deng hub, as I'm running 16:14 with my King.. And the Surly cog was expensive! And my bash only covers 16t...

Not king bmx hubs though, compared to normal kings, as it's the classic shell on the bmx hub?

I have no pads in at the moment, cutting myself some cousts tomorrow. Brake wasn't as loud this summer as it has been, because I rode a Hampshire, and didn't use my fave cutting disc to grind afterwards, and the pads wore down from my brake rubbing because my rim broke. Loudest brake should be back soon.

It won't be thought of because nobody will change to 116. Vive la resistance, or whatever.

my magura does it. some maggies do, some don't. put the slower one on the non drive side, that way you can have that pad closer to the rim, and the drive side one further away, meaning you can pedal harder withouut the wheel flexing over and rubbing on the brake.

Horisontal dropouts still work on 135 mm frames. Also, I'm pretty sure a King Classic in standard specifications is lighter than a Deng hub, and most likely stronger too.. And I'd easily sacrifice 100 grams for parts I know work, and to know that if I fold a wheel, I can borrow a wheel from a friend or another bike, to keep me going for the day, or whatever. It's idiotic.

a local workshop is a good bet, or the shed if you're handy with a grinder! it's from poland, and i assume it is custom made = no place to get them.

The coust+tryall i used to run before was pretty loud... as in the loudest and grabbiest brake i've ever felt, tar or no tar.
