  1. imagine this callum: you are wearing roller skates (or lollerskates if you so prefer). you are standing on a treadmill (running machine?) you set it to 5mph, step on, and hold on to the handle thing on the front. you are now standing still, with the wheels of the roller/lollerskates turning quickly due to the treadmill. imagine your arms are fully extended, while holding on to the handle thing. you now fancy a drink, this physics stuff is demanding. you pull on the handle, which moves you forwards on the treadmill, closer to your drink. this moves you forwards relative to the world around you. even if the treadmill sped up, it would not make it any harder for you to pull forwards to your drink. oh and btw, you are the plane, your arms are the engines and the treadmill is the conveyor. made sense? if not, i tried.
  2. it is cool. frustrating and times, but works alright. it has been weird, but it is nice to look at. loving the dashboard widgets and expose functions...
  3. imagine a shopping trolley with a beefy RM7 turbojet engine gaffer taped to it. the belt will make f**k all difference, as the trolley is driven by the massive engine and not the tiny wheels, which would be useless for driving due to their instability.
  4. but you will be too ready, and the risk of finding something not very aesthistically appealing increases drastically.
  5. i have used v8 pedals for i dont know how long. i have used the current set for a year and a half maybe? they still spin and have pins in them. they're alright, but i'm sure ones with better bearings are nicer, but just like expensive headsets, i see little point. they grip alright so i am happy. and for the record, i paid 5 quid for my headset, which is now over 2 years old.
  6. sova sova sova säng säng säng. this is how we do.

    White Rims

Yeah.. I have pinched mine like once in a year? I dunno, I never get punctures really, but they seem very good.. Not as resistant as a Maxxis though, but a fair bit lighter.

    White Rims

sweet tyre choice on the back there sir. they're bloody good!
  9. Am I the only person that finds hoodies completely shite to ride in? They are all over the place and the hood is annoying.. Tracky tops are cool, like the adidas europa one. i like mine alot, it is good for rding. Would be good with one that is a bit longer than most, so it still covers the back when in riding position. I find my adi jacket tends to slide up a bit on my back which is a pain if it is cold outside. Also, design/make some gloves that don't suck. The tryall gloves are a nice idea but they tear in the seams and holes form in the palm very quickly!
  10. i became senior when i was 16 i think. about the tech section, we get ideas and try to make them work. often takes a while for us to get something done as we are lazy bastards... also, we do not mean for it to be condescending. some times it might seem that way but that is not what we want it to be. we dont want to be Übermenschen, at least i have no interest in it. i do not know if this is how it works, but in my head, i see being senior as being a member that (at some point ) contributes to the forum, and can be of interest for the mods/admins, and a person who has been around for a while so the mods/admins know a little about the person. but i dunno. i like trials though.
  11. i hear dogtooth print is the thing to wear this a/w.
  12. no black and white slomo clips of riders setting up for a move, and then fading to black when it is about to happen something more interesting than a trackstand. it is more annyoing than crazy frog.
  13. everything is expensive in norway though!
  14. i am like 5'8" and i have not gotten taller in years now. only 18 too. oh wells.
  15. I've done this a few times, with cog intact... What you need: -Crank puller to get crank off bike -Piece of chain, 20+ links ideally -Vice -Long metal pipe or similar -Hammer Start off by taking the crank off the bike. Wrap the chain around the sprocket, ideally a tall chain like a KMC Kool or a KHE Collapse to protect the teeth. Clamp the sprocket in the vice, tighten it as hard as you dare, you can go pretty hard on this.. Slip the pipe over the crank, and give it some force. It will be hard to get off, smacking it with a hammer could help I guess, I've never needed to. The pipe I used the last time was 5ft long, but that's because it was the only one I had lying around... Long is good though. Have fun.
  16. I heard that the Mielec workers have been working drunk, as well as making frames that didn't actually fit wheels. Is this true?
  17. and me. that was some good stuff. looking forward to it.

    Pad Reviews

Pads: Onza Citrus Time Two nights Rim: Tryall, factory white paint Grind: No Brake: Magura Opinion of working brake: Should lock and hold when you want it to. Review: I put these pads on the other night when I rebuilt my bike. I am currently running them on a smooth painted tryall rim, the factory white paint, because I currently don't own a grinder. Initially, they were shite. No noise, no hold, just what you expect from new pads. After about an hour they started squeaking, similar sound to CRM on smooth rims. I rode a bit today, doing a tiny bit of natural and street, ground was damp and rode in some mud, the brake still worked pretty good. The power is definitely enough to ride, but not as much as I like it. But it is nice to know that they work, and squeak quite a bit, even on a smooth painted rim. Grind next....
