  1. a friend in the year above me showed that my uni gives out free vista licenses. he ordered like 5 of the corporate bling bling edition ones. I have never tried vista, but I'm sure it's good. Not really quite understood the whole 3d space-age stuff, but hey. i just don't see the point of the windows flying across the screen in 3d (which is pontless as windows are flat) instead of the mac osx exposé function, which tiles up all windows in 2d.. i'm just a big mac bummer i guess.
  2. the A in tra is part of the AA wich is å, which or pronounced like awe. i think, not too good at norwegian to be honest. trawe is how i say it, sounds funny

had a few flakes last night, but they did not settle. yay. also, how come schools/colleges close up whenever it snows over there? seems like it happens every year. can the teachers not be arsed or what?

    Snow!

no snow here. :D:D pretty chilly though.
  7. i got a copy of office:mac from a friend. have a look around on various torrent sites like thepiratebay, torrentspy, torrentreactior or oink if you have an account, and you're bound to come up with something.
  8. my ears are kind of broked. listened to lots of music, pretty loud, as well as been to gigs and rehearsed etc. i always play with earplugs and i have only been to a handful of gigs without ear plugs.. it's all common sense, my ears hurt if stuff is too loud... anyone drumming without ear protection is crazy imo. stuff is sooo loud.

    Anyone

    wrong section though.
  11. the epiphone will not sound as nice as the gibson.. simply because it is cheaper made from cheaper materials and has cheaper electronics in it. will still sound pretty good, and as been said, lots of the tone is in the amp, effects and copious amounts of EQing in the studio. i am actually building myself a nice lp junior doublecut pretty soon.. building the body from scratch, probably getting and old fender neck (prefer them over LP necks, plus they bolt on nicer than proper Gibson necks, they're set) and a p90 or a gfs lipstick pup in there.. will sound pretty sweet.
  12. sometimes you apparently wax pickups to avoid them from internally resonating and making them sound crap, or something. did he leave the guitar near a hot radiator or in the sun or near anything warm enough to melt it? not sure, just a thought.
  13. trail of dead - rest will follow.

    Close Me

dc++ and a decent hublist? has worked for me the last 7 years...
  16. i tried to built a 20" back 24" front bike once. it was back when i did not own a trials bike and was just about to start. ended up welding some vee bosses on to the 20" fork...
  17. haha, nice "coust" there..
  18. weird about the grabbiness.. i ran plaz crv, plaz v-fly and brown bloxx (with the adapters i made) but it still wasnt grabby enough for me.. Crv were good but wore down too fast. one day i'll try again, one day....

    Pad Reviews

boiling water is too cold to knacker the glue properly.
  20. google told me M10x1,5.... source 1 though on another page, i found bolts to screw in to fill the hole, avaliable in both 8mm and 10mm... scroll down a bit..
  21. don't you vee guys find it annoying that the pads always wear at an angle with a vee brake? the way they work (except the parallell push?) makes the pad wear angled as soon as it starts wearing. or is this not a problem? i ran vee almost 3 years ago (shit, long time ago) with some adapters i made (and let heatsink replica ) but i didnt like it so much, too little grabbiness for my taste.
  22. she's obviously got taste in guitars... move in and see how it goes, if it sucks, move out.
  23. have a look around on the second hand market... at least over here, there are tonnes of old valve amp combos going for very nice prices.. (valve = tube, just that tube is the american word ) i am personally not a fan of neither ashdown nor marshall heads.. i am more of a vintage/less distorted kind of guy. i love the vox ac15/30, fender twin/super reverbs, as well as other stuff like hagströms, selmers, etc. but yeah, if you fancy something different/special, try looking around for a used amp. but that is what i say about all instruments, i recently bought a 1973/1974 l6-s guitar...
  24. that's the one. it is one of my all time favourite movies. props to your maths teacher. and si-man, don't worry, city of angels is an ace song by the distillers.
