  1. I think it was Brett McCullough who talked about his heel hitting his outboard pad adjuster, making the brake suddenly grab further out/in on the lever depending on which way the adjuster was turned. May even leave the brake completely off if turned enough.
  2. Only because I recognised it from being sampled into A+'s hit "Enjoy yourself" from back in '99, and I wikipediaed it. :$
  3. Walther Murphy - A Fifth of Beethoven.
  4. The problem with the HD axle is that the pressed-on needle bearing race/serrated end bit cracks and snaps off, due to the way we trials riders tend to land at funny angles. My first HD axle cracked all the way through the needle race, and my second has bits snapped off. It's perfectly ridable if the needle race is fine, but it is sketchy.
  5. yeah i know, it is a bit shit like that. my mac runs matlab and photoshop, as well as torrent/dc software, so i'm happy with it as far as apps goes, except that i'd like some decent cad software like pro/E or catia. but hey, can just nip over to uni if I really wanna get my cad on.
  6. Same as waiting in line for a movie or product release I guess. I read the half-blood prince the other day. it was alright, might get the new 'un soon.
  7. More like PCs are crippled with microsoft software. mac os is great.
  8. sure it's just not the lever blade bolt being too tight?
  9. Photoshop CS3 is universal though. CS2 was kinda slow on my macbook, cs3 is really snappy..
  10. order a hd one off aspire, only takes a few days...
  11. anyone who has killed a tryall should look over their smoothness. I have run tryalls for a while now. Put mine out of true the other day, first time in a few months. They work fine for me, last a year or two depending on how lazy I am with spoke tension. They also work really well with Coust pads.
  12. Doesn't matter if you use 6ft of pipe though. I never sprayed anything on the cog/crank interface...
  13. Or buy the material directly from France and glue into backings, saving lots of moneys.
  14. I take the crank off, wrap some kmc k810 chain around the cog to protect the teeth, tighten it down in a vice, put a massive pipe over the crank and twist the cog right off. The pipe I used last time was about 6ft long, and it really helps with a long pipe...
  15. The Weakerthans - Benediction. (269 times) Nothing not to like about the song. Catchy, chimey and jangly guitars, pretty lyrics, nice backup vocals (and lead ones!), lovely laid back drums (good play-along warm up song to get loose in the arms and legs). Followed by most of the songs in my sleep playlist, the one i listened to almost every night this fall when going to bed.
  16. Had mine on a painted tryall rim, were ok. With a grind they wore out way too fast.
  17. maybe he is in prison serving a life sentence.
  18. there is a brand new silver zero in a local shop here...
  19. And the derailleur to go KABOOOOOM. edit: Go ahead and test it on any mountain bike or roadie bike. Zip tie the cassette to the spokes. DO NOT RIDE IT as it will not work for riding, but to demonstrate the principle..
  20. You can't fixie a derailleur, or tensioner. Imagine what happens when braking....
