what's wrong with turning it off BEFORE putting it in the bottom of the bag? no need for it to be on if it on the bottom of a bag anyway. sure it may not make the plane fall to the ground, but why not just obey the rules?

i think the first video was of someone eating a hope pro2 after losing a bet on it not shitting the bed.

Are you actually mentally disabled or are you just one hell of an actor?

i got the viz ones with alu steerer. couldn't be arsed paying more for atomzzz and having to get a new rotor for the disc, i just bought it the other week. will probably get it next week or something.

haha, it somehow "saves" energy from the pedal stroke to "release" it again after the power is off. so your pedal stroke goes to deform a spring that then shoots the bike forwards.. really efficient. NOT. stupid gimmics.

it was someone riding a street bike in a skate park. doing some really really shoddy stuff to a terrible soundtrack. i used to have the vid but i lost it.

You've obviously never done a medical trial. It blew my mind how easy it was. I thought I had to suffer quite a bit for the 800 quid. Maybe I was lucky with my study, it was pretty much harmless and nobody in the group had any problems. Thing is, they pay lots of money because nobody does it. If they had more people willing than needed they'd be able to give you less, but they really value every person so they give them lots of money. The pharmaceutical companies have loads of money, and human research is so very important.

king hubs on tryall rims. middleburns or tensiles, SKF bb, koxx whatever frame, (french of course!) atomz forks, bb7 front, hs33 back or maybe a vee, maxxis tyres, tryall bar and some stem of some kind.. 2374.50 for everything. with rubbish like alu and Ti bolts...

you can either keep the mech or get/make a tensioner. most people prefer to get a tensioner, as they're lighter, stronger and harder to hit.

Ali: You mean the curved viz ones yeah? I can get the Viz ones from germany for €150. A lot cheaper than Atomzzzzzz. However, the Syntace ones are €168, which is quite close. Hmmmmmmm.

Right, my forks are definitely cracked. They're 2 year old Onza Smartguys, bought off tarty. I need new ones. I want them to be as light or lighter than my Onzas (around 1kg) and preferrably black. Atomz? Syntace? I'd ideally want to stay away from the "oh my god CNC EVERYTHING" forks with massive crowns. ta, rob.

Friction has nothing to do with contact area. F=µ * N where F is the force of friction, µ is the coefficient of friction and N is the force applied. No areas...

The name "Mr Comp" is worth paying for. Just the name. Listen to it. "Mr Comp". Funny too when you call them overpriced, and then ask for the price. They sell for $80 in the US...

it is due to the Smittskyddslagen. Basically, the law states that you have to inform cops/hospitals if you have any of a number of diseases.. so they won't spread and stuff. you obviously won't be put in jail for it but you get forced treatment if i am not mistaken.

drugs was never an issue, since i don't do them. did once but that was years ago. over here, the policy IF they found drugs was that you'd be kicked out from the study. they only called the cops or told anyone if you had hepatit b or aids. i did not have any reflux problems, and i have none now. the test i did was to see if it affected the blood pressure when a pressure drop occured, like standing up quickly etc. i went alone and met some nice people there. chatted shit and so on. was good. i had a plastic tube thingy in my arm the whole time. so that they didn't have to poke me with needles every time they took the blood. it was awkward at first, and limited movement of the elbow somewhat, but it was ok. i think i found it worse than the other guys, who barely noticed. also i had some portable EKG/ECG stuff on me. self-adhesive connectors all over my upper body and a device big as a laptop battery around my neck, which transmitted my ekg/ecg wirelessly to their computers. was fun competing who could have the lowest heart rate without holding their breath. i managed 49 i think, one other guy was under 40 and the alarm went of and the doctors came running.

I did one this spring. It was with Swedish pharmaceutical giants Astra Zeneca. I was testing some acid reflux medicine. I basically slept for 3 days totally (2 visits), gave some blood and peed in cups. I did a tilt-test, which was me being strapped to a bed for 30 mins, then raised to 70 degrees inclination for 15, then back down. did it once with the real med and once with placebo. i was close to fainting one time. made nearly 800 quid. easiest money EVER. it was just lying in bed all day watching telly...

it's even funnier when they explode. my monty one blew into about 8 pieces and flew everywhere.

coustellier pads are really grabby. if you ask me, the bloxx have (for me!) had better hold. the coustelliers are definitely not slippy pads, but i use them mainly because of the grab. i LOVE grabby brakes for trials. this is a reason i never really liked my rear vee. it held lots but it just wasn't grabby enough.

i believe the shipping is a different tax. my mate ordered some guitar parts from the US where they did not specify the shipping properly, so he had to pay a standardised amount which was something silly like 20 quid in tax for the shipping alone. silly yanks...
